I'm so glad you're here! I welcome clients who may be perceived by others as "having it all together", but internally feel overwhelmed, out of control and are afraid of being "found out". My clients are high achieving and historically marginalized folks who want to work through anxiety, depression, stress management, boundary setting, life transitions, and identity exploration. I frame the healing journey in terms of present, past, and future-what's not working right now, how did you get here, and where do you want to be instead. Together we'll create a space where you are free to dream and make room for your authentic self to shine through. I became a psychologist to become an active part in creating a world that my inner child would feel seen in, and to extend that power and flexibility to others who may have learned that safety and support is not always given- sometimes it must be created. If you are curious about starting your Unapologetic Journey, email me to schedule a consultation today!
Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, dating challenges, or life transitions? You don’t have to navigate it alone. I love working with college students seeking clarity, peace, and confidence—whether you're adjusting to campus life, preparing for the future, or feeling emotionally stuck and alone. Originally from Houston, Texas and now based in Atlanta, I’ve been fully licensed since 2018 and practicing since 2012. My early work focused on adolescents and families affected by substance use, but I found my sweet spot working with young adults navigating anxiety, relationship stress, and identity development. Whether you're facing college anxiety, academic pressure, or relationship concerns, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can process emotions and grow at your own pace. Therapy with me is relaxed, empowering, and rooted in real-life support. Healing isn’t instant, but it starts with being open, heard, and supported. Let’s take that first step—together.

I am a Physician Assistant experienced in working in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. I diagnose and help patients to manage conditions including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, sleep issues, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and much more. Through medication management, I aspire to help my patients manage their conditions as best as possible by using the least amount of medication in order to manage their symptoms. I also am familiar with over-the-counter / naturopathic approaches to mental health and how using these vitamins as adjuncts to medication can often work synergistically with psychiatric meds. I know that medications aren’t always the only method to improve your mental health, so oftentimes I refer my patients to counseling and therapy too. Originally from the state of FL, I graduated from then University of FL with my bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies before earning my PA degree from the University of South Alabama in 2020. I was recently awarded a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Psychiatry by the NCCPA.

I have experience working with adults and elderly who struggle with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, schizophrenia, bipolar, personality disorders, along with major life transitions and end-of-life decisions. My work with adolescents includes depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, school behavior concerns, and sexual identity. We will talk about negative thoughts and behaviors & learn techniques to alleviate the symptoms you are experiencing using play-, talk-, and/or art- therapy techniques. We will work together to achieve self-acceptance. I will provide a judgment free zone, with a feeling of safety, comfort, and an open mind. I often had difficulty expressing my feelings & my father taught me how to think critically, love unconditionally, never judge, and how to use other forms of self-expression, like art and writing. I was introduced to AA meetings & found comfort & safety to express my thoughts with my father’s life lessons & knew this was my path. I earned my BS in Psychology at Florida State University in 2015 and MS in Counseling with a concentration in mental health at NOVA Southeastern University in 2019. I am Trilingual (English/Spanish/French). I enjoy practicing self care through painting, dancing, singing, travelling, and binge watching TV shows with my husband & fur-baby, Maddy.

I operate from a systems approach, and utilize narrative, solution-focused, and collaborative perspectives in the therapy room. My work is client-centered, and I strongly believe in meeting the client where they are and providing unconditional support during every step of their journey.
My practice is designed to support students who are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, or the challenges of navigating new phases in life. Whether it’s the pressure of academic or family expectations, managing cultural tensions, or struggling with uncertainty about the future, I understand how these issues can make even day-to-day tasks feel heavy and consuming. Many of my clients find themselves caught in cycles of overthinking, self-doubt, or feeling stuck between different identities and responsibilities. As a first-generation immigrant and veteran, I bring both lived experience and clinical insight to the work I do. I specialize in supporting immigrants and children of immigrants who are balancing complex cultural dynamics while trying to succeed academically, socially, and personally. My goal is to help students like you break free from the weight of these internal and external pressures, and move toward a life that feels grounded and self-directed. If you’re ready to explore new ways of coping, build confidence, and feel more in control of your path forward, I’m here to offer support, insight, and tools to help you thrive.

You can learn how to make your fears and worries smaller and manageable and practice the steps toward leading a full, satisfying life. This is too important. Relief is real: Life is more than just surviving! Are recurring distressing thoughts, flashbacks, and nightmares of past events - even from childhood - haunting you? Long-lasting change is possible. Don't lose hope: Let me help you. With effective therapy like EMDR, we can rewrite negative stories in your unconscious mind, where irrational fears and trauma reside, so that you may achieve a more thoroughgoing renovation of your mind, soul, and spirit. Struggling to adjust to college life? Feeling stuck? Wondering why you keep finding yourself in the same struggle, experiencing the same pain or relationship issues, yet again? Or perhaps you feel invisible or unheard, or can't find your own voice? I work with clients to explore how unresolved issues from the past impact the present. In an open and safe environment, we explore authentic feelings and lost aspects of self often censored in general society, toward greater personal insight, growth and change. An accepting and validating therapy relationship can be a key element in the healing of old wounds and opening up of new possibilities. I work primarily from a psychodynamic and relational orientation to work with the deep long-term wounds, traumas, and patterns that shape self-perceptions and influence current experiences and struggles. I will incorporate other modalities as applicable. All genders, sexual orientations, and races/ethnicities welcome. I also offer Brainspotting, a cutting edge EMDR derivative, neurobiological trauma treatment. I am intensively trained in psychoanalytic theory and practice, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples. I also bring over 25 years of corporate experience to my understanding of real world problems that clients struggle with.
I have more than 20 years experience working with patients with eating disorders or eating problems and accompanying issues such as anxiety. I will meet you where you are and we can work together toward healthier thoughts and behaviors that promote a sense of well-being. As an Emory alum, I truly enjoy working with Emory students.
