Life can be brutal, can’t it?! Can you remember that time in life when you were happy, like top of the world scream it from the rooftops happy? In that moment, everything was right in your world and then well, life happened. Now you look back and have so many questions…What happened? Let me tell you, you are not alone! We’ve all been there in some season of life. But who says this can’t make us better! Every person comes to therapy with their own individual needs. Therefore, we adapt our interventions based on a comprehensive assessment of who you are and what you need. We are all trained in a number of different interventions and like to use a combination of our training and expertise to utilize an eclectic approach to best meet the needs of each individual person. We know that every individual is uniquely different and therefore each person should have a unique therapy journey based on their own needs.

Healing begins with understanding - and you don’t have to do it on your own. My approach to therapy is rooted in helping you gently explore who you are and how you move through the world. Together, we’ll work to loosen the grip of fear and shame so you can reclaim your story with compassion and confidence. In our work, I’ll support you in recognizing patterns that no longer serve you and help you in shifting them to create space for growth and healing. We will work to strengthen self-trust, improve emotional regulation, and develop a clearer sense of identity. College students come to me to understand their underlying beliefs and emotional experiences that contribute to academic stress, anxiety about life after college, people-pleasing, perfectionism, general anxiety, and depression. I enjoy helping young adults navigate difficult family dynamics, set boundaries with themselves and others, and improve self-esteem. Wherever you are on your journey, I am dedicated to supporting you as you work toward healing.

Hi! My name is Rachel Devery and I work with students who struggle with OCD, general anxiety, social anxiety, performance anxiety, and trauma/PTSD. Often anxieties and trauma leads to feeling stuck, hopeless or beyond repair. We can work together to build hope and find peace. The healing journey can be scary, and you are taking some brave steps forward. I know that healing is possible and you do not have to be stuck forever. It would be my honor to work alongside you in this journey to find healing and wholeness. We will work together to reach your goals and face fears. Every person heals differently, and I use a variety of techniques from evidenced-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy.
Our greatest strengths can be found in the company of the parts of ourselves we avoid. I will show up in a deeply authentic way so that you may feel safe to do the same. Your future self is rooting for you to continue this journey. Let's figure out together how to make therapy the experience you need. I work with neurodiverse adults navigating life transitions and connecting their current struggles back to childhood experiences. I look forward to meeting you!
My name is Ashley and I am so proud of you for taking the first steps and prioritizing your mental health. Life transitions can be challenging. From navigating your young adulthood, starting college, and transitioning to independent adulthood, to realizing you’re not where you thought you’d be in life. My experience has been with people who have turned to alcohol, drugs, food, or self-injury to cope with various life events. Others have shut down in the form of depression or paralyzing anxiety. In essence, the ways of handling life’s stressors are no longer effective, and in these moments, we need help. I enjoy working with people who have the desire to learn how to better navigate their transitions. The University of South Dakota and the University of Georgia trained me in Person-In-Environment (PIE) theory. Giving me a holistic framework to understand how best to serve clients. It is from this view that I use cognitive behavioral and mindfulness techniques to address a client’s specific issues. For me, the key to a successful working relationship between therapist and client is mutual understanding. You are the expert when it comes to your life story. I can assist by using my perspective and empathizing but only you know how you feel and sometimes words can fail us. I’m a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) located in Athens, Georgia. I have been working in the behavioral health field since 2018. I have worked in mental health inpatient and American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) level 3.5 and 3.7 substance use residential settings. Client issues have included depression, anxiety, school difficulties, eating disorders, grief, and chemical dependence. In my free time, I enjoy visiting dog parks with my partner and my Chihuahua/Shih Tzu mix, Bentley, and reading historical fiction novels.
Despite your best effort you feel weighed down or worried, and you are not making the progress you expected. You need a space where your worries, faith, and cultural experiences are all taken seriously — so you can start moving through life with increased clarity, peace and capacity. Through evidence-based therapy integrated with Christian principles, I help professionals reduce anxiety, recover from burnout, and show up more effectively in work and relationships that matter most. Reaching out takes courage — and it is one of the most supportive and strategic decisions you can make for yourself. You were made for more than surviving. I would be honored to support your journey. My pronouns are she/her/hers. I offer both individual therapy and psychological assessment. Assessment can be used to evaluate for concerns like ADHD or autism, screen for learning challenges, track changes in neurological functioning, and more. For assessment, I see clients 5 years and older. For individual therapy, I see clients age 14 and older. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and coping with life changes. I also used to work at universities and know the unique experiences and challenges college students face. For any therapist you work with, one of the most important pieces is connection. I may not be the right therapist for everyone and that is perfectly ok. Find who you mesh with and who works for you, and you will give yourself the best chance of success! I believe that therapy is only part of your journey. When we meet, I want to know not only what is upsetting you but also what your goals and hopes are for the future. My goal is to stand with you as you gain the power to reclaim the parts of your life you want to improve. If you feel a connection with me, therapy can be a place to learn more about yourself, challenge worries, process past and current strife, and more. I can be a witness, guide, support, and collaborator. We will work together to get you through this.
