Hi, I'm Jennifer, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides a supportive, nonjudgmental space where college students and young adults can explore challenges, build coping skills, and work toward meaningful change. College can be an exciting time, but it can also bring significant stress and uncertainty. I support individuals who are experiencing anxiety, depression, academic stress, burnout, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, family conflict, grief and loss, and difficulties with emotional regulation. Whether you're adjusting to college life, navigating relationships, managing family expectations, or feeling overwhelmed by daily responsibilities, therapy can provide support and practical tools to help you move forward. My approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing while incorporating techniques from Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and trauma-informed care. Together, we will identify your goals, build insight, strengthen coping skills, and develop strategies that fit your unique needs. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in both school-based and clinical mental health settings. As a school social worker, I provide counseling, crisis intervention, behavioral support, and collaboration with families and community providers. My experience working with adolescents and families has given me a strong understanding of the challenges that can arise during times of transition, including academic stress, changing relationships, identity development, family expectations, and increasing independence. I strive to create a welcoming environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I look forward to supporting you as you work toward greater confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing. *Additional evening appointments may be available Monday (6:00PM - 8:30PM) and Tuesday (6:00PM - 8:30PM). Please contact me for current availability. Thank you!

Hi! I'm Hannah. Have you ever heard the phrase, “The body keeps the score”? It’s true! Our bodies are incredibly smart and know how to keep us safe. They remember our past and are doing their best to keep us safe in our present and future. But sometimes this means that it’s working overtime to protect us from anything else that could hurt us, and this can end up causing problems in relationships, jobs, schooling, and in our mental and physical health. Traditional talk therapy is often ineffective at helping the body heal from these old wounds. Instead, I use a body-based approach that provides long-lasting healing from trauma and loss. I believe that the therapeutic relationship truly heals, and I aim to be one of your biggest supporters as you overcome challenges in your life. I’ll be right there with you through some of your hardest moments, and I’ll hold onto hope even when it seems hopeless. I believe in you and your ability to do hard things. I also believe you deserve all the healing that you can possibly have in this life, and it’s my honor to guide you on your healing journey. I’m sex-positive, kink-positive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and strongly believe in racial justice.

I'm Chelsea Horn, owner and founder of Wild Haven Counseling. I’ve been practicing as a licensed mental health counselor since 2018. My passion lies in helping adults and college students navigate life transitions, develop strengths, and find meaning and purpose. I’m skilled in treating anxiety, perfectionism, imposter feelings and self-doubt, depression, binge eating, and body image issues. In the therapy room, I combine evidence-based practices with a touch of humor and humanity. I see therapy as a space where the focus is entirely on you, where you can reflect on your experiences, reconnect with yourself, and rediscover what brings you joy and fulfillment. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for real change. My style is collaborative and conversational; I offer input and perspective, but I also recognize that you are the expert on your own life. Together, we’ll identify goals that feel meaningful to you. I often encourage clients to practice new skills outside of sessions, which helps build confidence and momentum in daily life. I also take a holistic approach to mental health, considering how emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being all connect. My philosophy centers on pursuing wholeness over perfection. Growth isn’t about getting everything right, it’s about showing up for yourself, learning along the way, and taking that first step toward change.

I work best with students who often feel like they're carrying more than they let on. Maybe you're the one everyone depends on, you're constantly overthinking, or you're trying to balance school, work, relationships, and everything else while feeling overwhelmed inside. You might be navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, or the impact of past experiences. Whatever brings you here, you don't have to have it all figured out before starting therapy. I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, make sense of what's been weighing on you, and begin moving toward a life that feels more grounded, fulfilling, and authentically yours.

My passion for psychiatry began during my undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, where I graduated with a degree in neuroscience and a GPA of 3.9. Due to my academic excellence, I was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, America’s oldest honor society, which includes 17 former U.S. Presidents and 40 Supreme Court Justices among its members. Before pursuing a career in medicine, I taught Algebra to middle school students in New York City as a public school educator. I was initially hired to help students pass their state exams, and to my surprise, they succeeded. This experience reinforced my belief in the importance of education. At Rush University, I hold three administrative roles: Executive Chief Resident, Education Chief, and Internal Moonlighting Coordinator. As Executive Chief Resident, I organize two literature review series: Rush’s Journal Club and a program called “Controversies in Psychopharmacology,” which explores new and controversial topics in psychiatry. Together with faculty, I also coordinate the PRITE exam review series. As an enthusiastic test-taker, I achieved scores above the 90th percentile in neuroscience on the 2020 and 2021 exams. Additionally, I oversee the Balint group, a support group aimed at addressing physician burnout and promoting wellness among residents. In my role as Education Chief, I manage Rush’s Teaching Clinic, designed to support medical students. I regularly lecture to both medical students and residents. I have collaborated with my co-residents to create a personalized tutoring series for at-risk medical students focused on helping them pass their NBME shelf exams; I’m proud to report that 100% of my mentees have successfully passed. Furthermore, I co-lead a neuroscience curriculum aligned with materials from the National Neuroscience Curriculum Initiative (NNCI) and deliver lectures to my co-residents. As the Internal Moonlighting Coordinator at Rush, I ensure continuous and effective psychiatric care in the emergency department. I have logged over 1,000 hours in the emergency room, gaining experience in stabilizing high-acuity situations such as psychosis, mania, and agitation. This role has also provided me with valuable experience in accounting and bookkeeping, allowing me to work closely with the payroll department. I am actively involved in the Illinois Psychiatric Society, the Illinois branch of the American Psychiatric Association (APA). I serve on several committees, including the anti-racism committee and the government affairs committee. My interests lie in interventional psychiatry, and I currently work at Rush’s TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) and ketamine clinic. In October, I collaborated with IV Chicago Solutions and shadowed Dr. Eugene Lipov, a pioneer of the stellate ganglion block procedure for treating PTSD. I enjoy working with individuals who would like to learn better tools and skills to manage internal experiences (thoughts, emotions, etc) so they can create a life that is uniquely meaningful and vibrant. Our minds are useful tools but they can also leave us feeling trapped. In our work together, you'll practice how to get "un-stuck" from your mind and have more control over your behaviors.
