Having worked in both academic and corporate environments, my current work as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner has evolved from observing students’ and colleagues’ challenges and successes and their relationship to emotional health and ability to focus on daily and long-term goals. As a result of my Yale, Duke, Tufts and MGH psychiatric training, I’ve honed my observations into effective working theories about the biopsychosocial factors that influence peoples’ vitality and well-being. If you're currently struggling with academic, professional or emotional obstacles, I believe I can help. My practice involves the diagnosis and treatment of multiple mental health conditions including: ADHD, ANXIETY and DEPRESSION with a focus on compassionate, culturally sensitive, SUPPORTIVE PSYCHOTHERAPY and MEDICATION MANAGEMENT for adolescents and adults. If you’re struggling with a mental health condition and need help with medication management, or simply want assistance with improving your mental well-being, please contact me for a private consultation. Initial appointments last about an hour with follow-ups taking less time. If you’d like to discuss living a more balanced life, please give me a call.
Welcome to Nomad Counseling and Wellness! My name is Emily and I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor. I believe therapy should be convenient and accessible so I provide therapy via video, available from the comfort of your own home. I work with adult (18 and up) Massachusetts residents. Sessions are securely conducted using the online client portal. All you need is a good internet connection and a device with a webcam like a smartphone, tablet, or computer. I have experience working with families and individuals. I have primarily worked with adolescents and adults in the areas of substance use disorder and short-term solution focused family therapy. I am passionate about supporting the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community. I am trauma-informed and ready to work with people who may not yet know what they need from therapy but just know something in their life isn't working for them right now. I believe that you are the expert in your own experience and I am here to help you set goals and build skills that support you in your daily life. I offer a strengths-based, client-centered eclectic approach including elements of multiple modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT and motivational interviewing. I am shaped/guided by a lens of systems theory, social justice, and attachment theory. I believe in building a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients and approaching with humility that I don't know your situation more than you do. I am ready to collaborate with you to help you find what you are looking for, whichever approach we take.
You deserve to receive the highest quality, evidence-based care available. As a dedicated Cognitive Behavioral Therapist who specializes in health psychology and behavioral medicine (coping with chronic illnesses, injuries, and diseases), we will work together to identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors to improve your emotional well-being and quality of life. These methods have been shown to work, and I tailor our work to your specific needs. Using a compassionate, person-centered approach, I work with clients to achieve their unique goals for therapy. I am fully licensed in MA and telehealth licensed in FL. Based on my work and research at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, I think about well-being through a psychological, biological, social, structural, and cultural lens. In addition to providing CBT-based psychotherapy, I also utilize motivational interviewing, acceptance-based skills, mindfulness, relaxation, and communication skills. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for exploration and growth, and provide affirmative care to individuals of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, cultures, and religions. Please feel free to reach out to discuss whether I might be the right fit for you. More information is available on my website: www.jasperleephd.com
I have a collaborative approach to therapy, using principles of self-compassion, cognitive reframing, identity exploration, and mindfulness throughout my work. In therapy, we will work towards self-awareness, create concrete action steps for emotional, cognitive, and behavioral change, and reduce the power of the internal critic. I have worked for over 9 years in college counseling. I have specialized in trauma-informed care, EMDR, dialectical behavioral therapy, and solution focused therapy. I enjoy working with individuals who identify as BIPOC, LGBQIA+, nonbinary, and first gen. I have also worked closely with the Tufts University Asian American Center, collaborating on programming and training to reduce the stigma associated with accessing mental health support.
My offer to you something is simple and steady: a space where you do not have to perform, impress, or hold it all together. A space where you can exhale. I am especially drawn to working with people in transition especially college students standing on the edge of adulthood and professionalism. Transitions can shake your confidence. They can stir up old shame, old stories, old fears about not being enough. But they are also sacred turning points. They are invitations. Together, we will slow down and tune in. We will examine the narratives you’ve inherited and gently decide which ones no longer serve you. My hope for you is not that you leave therapy “better," but that you leave more fully yourself. I believe healing happens when someone sits with you long enough for you to remember your own strength. I will meet you with depth, honesty, humor and warmth. I will challenge you when needed, celebrate you when earned, and hold the mirror steady when you forget who you are. You do not have to worry alone. Everyone has a story. I look forward to hearing yours.
Welcome! I know that choosing a therapist is a difficult task and that embarking in a therapeutic treatment requires a lot of courage. I am certain that the warm, and nonjudgmental environment that I provide will help you feel safe and supported as you explore the problems that interfere with the way that you want to live your life. I am pleased that you have enough self-awareness to realize that you need to act now. I am a licensed psychologist with broad therapeutic interests: issues related to parenting, migration, intimate relationship, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, and low self-esteem. I have over twenty years of experience helping clients better understand themselves, reduce their suffering, and increase their capacity for joyful living. Successful therapy depends on a good fit between therapist and client; it's precisely the quality of the collaborative therapeutic relationship that is central to healing. Your concerns don't have to be severe to justify making the first call.
One of my specializations is helping students who feel they are on the verge of dropping a semester because of stress, anxiety, or other difficulties. If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, in a crisis or at a crossroads, or in any situation in which 50 minutes of counseling isn't “enough”, an Individual Counseling Retreat may be a good fit. This service was created in part to fill a gap in services between the 50-minute session and going into a hospital or rehab. But it's also intended for anyone who simply wants or needs to go deeper than the typical therapy session. A personal counseling retreat puts therapy into a different context: An inspiring setting with a lot of time outdoors. Time to walk and talk, rather than just sitting, and leverage the healing effect of time in nature. We choose a retreat center or other setting so that the process itself is uplifting and inspiring, both calming and energizing. The impact of getting off the grid and devoting time to re-grouping can't be overstated. The time frame of a multi-day retreat allows a lot of learning and processing in a condensed period of time, with a minimum of distractions. The counseling addresses your difficulties, but also focuses on positive psychology- the skills of thriving and well-being. It also integrates meditation, mindfulness, yoga, and healthy food. The one-to-one counseling allows for truly personalized attention and coaching. It provides the time and space to explore issues in depth, connecting dots and seeing new ways of responding. It's not a magic cure, because nothing is. But it is a unique and highly impactful experience and a powerful commitment to your future well-being. A typical retreat is 3-5 days, and includes mindfulness meditation, stress management skills, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), addiction recovery counselings as appropriate, and other evidence-supported therapeutic frameworks. MBCT focuses on empowering you to understand helpful and unhelpful patterns of thinking and reacting, and grow the positive ones. The work focuses primarily on the here and now, less on lengthy excavation of your past. The overall goal is resourcing you with new skills to better manage the stress and challenges you return to post-retreat. You come away with more than a diagnosis and a medication prescription. The outcome of a retreat is a new understanding of how your mind, nervous system and body interact, and how to ride life's ups and downs with more resilience. You leave with a post-retreat plan of self-care, which includes specific daily practices to support ongoing self-regulation and what you value most: Being your best self. As appropriate, post-retreat follow up with me is available. Clients who bring flexibility of mind- an ability to look at problems in a new way- and who have a love of the outdoors tend to resonate with this work the most. To discuss fees, location options and other logistical matters, email or call. Let's find a plan that works for you!
My approach to therapy is active, flexible, goal-oriented, and collaborative. Ultimately, my role is to help you gain the skills, insights, and self-compassion to be your own therapist. I meet clients where they are, help them to clarify their goals, identify what stands in their way, and work through (or with) these obstacles through the use of CBT, ACT and short-term psychodynamic approaches. I pay special attention to cultural and contextual factors that may be relevant to your concerns and treatment. In my work in university, refugee and veterans’ clinic settings, I've had the opportunity to engage with diverse populations and a wide array of presenting concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions and relational concerns. If you think we may be a good match, please get in touch to schedule a 15-minute consultation.

Hi! I am a licensed clinician who supports clients struggling with any and all of the stressors of our time with a focus on creating a nurturing therapy space.
Deciding to see a therapist requires awareness and regard for oneself. I have deep respect for what has brought you here, and this will form the foundation of our work together. Perhaps you seek therapy now because of a crisis that is presenting new challenges or bringing up old, unresolved problems. Or you now feel ready to address a long-standing pattern that has caused much difficulty and pain over time. Your struggles may be affecting not only your relationships with others but also how you relate to yourself. My job is to help you expand your capacity for what you can do alone. I offer a combination of psychoanalytic and CBT/DBT informed approaches while being mindful of both the universality and cultural individuality of our experiences. I have worked extensively with a range of people, from those in the throes of PTSD or addiction to ones dealing with transitions or looking for greater connection in relationships. I hold the conviction that exploration of the past is necessary as it influences and shapes our circumstances, while at times being present to our anxieties and resources in the moment is crucial. By coming here, you have already begun your work. If you think that I may be of help, let us have a conversation. It would be my privilege to talk with you.
YOU are the expert of your own life. My role is to provide a judgement free space to help you explore and build skills to meet your goals. I specialize in supporting individuals ages 18 + who are experiencing difficulties with Anxiety, Depression and Adjustments. I use a combination of trauma based therapeutic approaches, traditional psychotherapy and systemic approaches to health and wellness. I will challenge you to step out of your comfort zone and try different things. I look forward to joining you in your journey!
Hello, and welcome. My name is Kathleen McGah and I offer a comfortable, confidential space for teens, college-age students and young adults to talk about whatever is on their mind, at one's own pace, and without judgment. When people have a safe place to practice putting thoughts and feelings into words, they find they grow psychologically stronger over time - and more satisfied with various aspects of life. I have worked with many students who, initially, have been hesitant to talk with a professional. (Even if one has had a counseling experience in the past, it can still be difficult to start with a new therapist.) It makes sense if you have some hesitation about taking this step. Only you will know if you are ready. If you have been struggling and think it would be good to meet with a therapist, though, please reach out.
I understand that you are interested in improving your self-esteem, self-confidence, and interpersonal skills. Our work together aims to help you manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger, trauma, and substance abuse while also improving your relationship with life's uncertainties, constant worries, or pain. We will explore ways to manage stress and evaluate the meaning of your existence while developing helpful mindsets. Everyone has the potential to be curious and discover the meaning behind their thoughts, feelings, and relationships to achieve authenticity and self-actualization. I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor specializing in insight-oriented psychotherapy for current and future medical providers, STEM folks, and creative-minded individuals.
