Therapists for college students near Boston College
I have an extensive clinical psychology background and I have treated individuals of all ages for a variety of problems. For the past 20 years my practice has also included working with students from many colleges in the area, including Berklee , Emerson, Northeastern, Harvard, MIT, and a number of other schools. In addition to the problems which students frequently bring to a therapist's office, such as depression, anxiety, issues around self esteem, gender identity, school performance, worries about the future, and relationship problems, the Covid pandemic and the need for remote learning and social distancing has exacerbated many of these already difficult issues. I can usually schedule a first appointment within one or two days of contact. I meet with patients (remotely) via telephone and video telehealth platforms only, Monday through Friday from 7AM to 4 PM. I accept BXBS, Anthem, First Health, among other health plans, and will help with out-of-network needs.

I celebrate all races, genders, sexual orientations, religions, and relationship configurations. đłď¸âđ
Welcome! I'm so glad you've found your way here. College can be an exciting time, but it can also come with stress, old wounds that resurface, anxiety, and moments where youâre just not sure who you are or where youâre headed. Therapy can be a space to slow down, breathe, and talk honestly about whatâs going on - without judgment. My goal is to create a place where you feel genuinely seen, supported, and safe to figure things out at your own pace. Weâll work together to understand the patterns, thoughts, and emotions that might be keeping you stuck, while also tapping into the strengths you already have (even if you donât always feel them). I see therapy as more than âfixing problemsââitâs also about reconnecting with yourself, growing in confidence, and building a life that feels meaningful and aligned with who you want to be. I use an individualized, integrative approachâdrawing from psychodynamic therapy, relational work, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)âbecause thereâs no one-size-fits-all path to healing. This means weâll explore your past and present experiences, uncover whatâs behind certain reactions or habits, and bring compassion to every part of you. Iâd be honored to walk with you as you learn to trust yourself, practice self-kindness, and reclaim your voice. Together, we can explore what matters most to you and help you move toward a life with more clarity, confidence, and connection.
College can be an exciting yet challenging time, filled with transitions, academic pressures, and personal growth. Together, we can create a supportive space where you can develop effective coping strategies, process your experiences, and build the skills needed to feel more balanced and in control. My goal is to help you feel empowered and equipped to manage lifeâs challenges with greater confidence and clarity.
