I’m here to help you navigate these shifts, overcome challenges, and create the fulfilling life you want. Sometimes it's really hard for us to ask for help-especially when you're a strong, independent woman. Therapy is a great way to reach out, learn more about yourself, and grow through any challenges you might be facing. I help women who want to change their relationship with food and their bodies. I work with women in individual, group, & virtual therapy. I have a holistic approach that covers a wide range of symptoms & issues, but I enjoy helping clients who have struggled with their weight make peace with food. I love working with college women who are graduating & seeking support for the transition, and specialize in those women experiencing a "quarter life crisis". I also have a lot of experience helping women with recovering from sexual trauma. I love working with women who may have experienced an unplanned pregnancy or abortion as well, and offer an non-judgemental, pro-choice arena to explore emotions. Starting therapy can seem scary, but its brave to get some help! Make the decision to feel better today. I am an Out of Network insurance provider-contact your insurance to see if you qualify for these benefits. Flexible spending and HSA accepted as payment. I enjoy working with students who need support in adjusting to all the changes that school inherently comes with leaving home, performance anxiety, finding your people, dating, friends, study habits, getting ready to graduate and finding your next move etc. And through all of this, sometimes there is anxiety, depression, or trauma that makes all of the adjustments more difficult. Therapy can help you sort through all of that so that you have a clear mind and feel more at ease in life. Reach out to me today to schedule a free 15 minute consult to see if we are a match, it's important that you feel a connection with your therapist. As a licensed psychologist, I have over 20 years of experience counseling undergraduate, graduate students and adults. Generally, the clients who come to see me are overwhelmed, depressed or anxious. Almost without exception, my clients get better. Please see https://maryjofernandez.clientsecure.me for more information. Advanced training in multiple areas, is what I have to offer. My psychologist licenses include Florida and Massachusetts. My education, training and experience includes working with diverse cultures, races, sexualities and traditional/non-traditional religions. Short term treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, is usually recommended. There are other options, including psychodynamic therapy (long term). There is a RTS stop in front of the office. My practice is located near Ward's supermarket and behind Chipotle on 13th St/Rt 441. I am a provider for some Massachusetts private insurances. If you have an insurance that I do not accept, then there are alternatives, for example a sliding scale option. On a more personal side, I am open minded with a sense of humor and a predisposition towards quality care. My clients tend to share motivation, determination and they work collaboratively.
Hello and thank you for considering me to help you with what you are experiencing! I have been in this field since 2006, with a special interest in life transitions, women’s issues, spirituality, anxiety, depression, and helping people to find meaning and purpose in life.
Hi there! I'm Heather, a proud Nurse Practitioner. I have been in practice as a prescriber since 2023, and worked in the mental health field in various settings for more than a decade prior as an RN. I work across the lifespan and with a variety of conditions. (Please note that at this time I am not prescribing controlled substances.) I believe in shared decision making and a person-centered approach to care; we're a team! I have a kind but direct approach to discussions and am solution-focused. I believe that medications are a tool, not a fix, so we will talk about a variety of interventions to support your wellness. You can expect that I will ask about your goals for care, and life, and that we will work together to meet those goals. I will sometimes assign "homework" to continue interventions outside of sessions in addition to any medication changes we may decide to make.
Welcome, as it takes courage for us to ask for help from others and seek therapy. I am here to tell you that it is okay to ask for help and seeking a professional therapist is the first step in your journey. Life is hard at times, with a multitude of life transitions, from graduating from high school to finishing college, starting a new job, or having feelings of being stuck either personally and/or professionally. Life is not an easy road to travel, but as we travel through different life challenges, sometimes we need help from others and it’s okay to seek help. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is very passionate about the mental health field and each client I have had the pleasure of working with. I am very respectful of everyone’s journey and believe respect, compassion, and sensitivity are very important in building and maintaining a healthy therapeutic relationship. I have experience with working with clients who have struggled with anxiety, depression, stress and major life transitions, PTSD, trauma, relationship issues, ADHD symptoms, mood disorders, parent-child relationship issues, behavioral problems, parenting techniques, and grief/loss. My therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, TF-CBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I utilize different therapeutic techniques to assist my clients, which ensures each client has a personalized treatment plan. When working with my clients, I like to build a strong therapeutic rapport to gather a clear understanding of the client’s needs, goals they want to work on and/or issues they want to address in therapy, barriers to progression in therapy, and objectives to reach their therapeutic goals. My philosophy in working with each client is that I am here to help you. I hope to work with you, helping you understand where you are in the process of change, motivating you to move towards the next stage, assisting you throughout the therapeutic process, and we move at your pace. The client’s progression in the therapeutic process is to understand and acknowledge that, to a large degree, a successful treatment outcome depends on the amount of energy and effort the client makes. I will always have an open and honest line of communication with clients and be empathetic and very respectful. I look forward to working with you!

I provide a supportive, trauma-informed space where preteens, teens, young adults, and adults can feel safe exploring their emotions, relationships, and life experiences without judgment. Together, we’ll work to better understand patterns of stress, anxiety, and overwhelm while building practical tools to feel more confident, grounded, and empowered. In my role as a school adjustment counselor, I have experience supporting students and families navigating academic pressure, social challenges, emotional regulation, school avoidance, grief, anxiety, depression and life transitions. Primarily using evidence-based approaches including CBT, trauma informed care and somatic-based interventions. My goal is to help you recognize inner strengths, build resilience, and create a greater sense of safety, balance, and hope for the future. Therapy can be a place to feel heard, understood, and supported while learning new ways to navigate life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.
I work with students who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, or struggling to keep up with school, work, and personal responsibilities. Many of the people I see are dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or the stress of major life transitions. Some are high achievers who feel constant pressure to perform, while others feel stuck, unmotivated, or unsure about their direction. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and support is available. I offer a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where we can work together to help you feel more balanced, focused, and confident. Reach out to schedule a consultation and see if we’re a good fit.
I know how easy it is to fall into the trap of believing you need to ‘fix’ yourself in order to be happy. My goal is to help you break free from self-judgment and step into a healthier, more balanced version of yourself. We’ll work together to understand all aspects of who you are, using a holistic approach that acknowledges both your struggles and your strengths.
