I have worked with clients from many different backgrounds across the lifespan who are suffering, lost, or just looking for a place to talk. Most commonly, I have worked with people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, family struggles, relationship stress, and life transitions. As a therapist, I take an approach that is individualized and client-centered. I develop a treatment plan collaboratively with my clients based on their expertise of their own lives. I draw my interventions from behavioral approaches and frequently incorporate self-compassion work with clients. Through my undergraduate and graduate studies, I learned a lot about human behavior. Through my clinical experience and in my own journey, I learned a lot about healing. I am so grateful to serve others through this work every day.

I've had the privilege of walking alongside clients in their healing journeys and have found that, for many whose trust (in others and in themselves) has been shaken, finally feeling heard and understood serves as a powerful corrective experience. I believe that these experiences are crucial in facilitating personal growth and change. I recognize that all clients have unique strengths, and I build upon these to create a working alliance that is non-judgmental, empowerment-based, and client-focused. Many feel alienated not only in their struggles but in their pursuit of wellbeing, especially when they have not received a great deal of support in making the changes they desire. I am honored to provide such support and join clients on their paths toward healing. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults in the treatment of trauma, complex PTSD, attachment, anxiety, and depression. I am trained in and often utilize trauma-focused interventions including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Forward-Facing Trauma Therapy (FFTT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I also frequently employ solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, and emotional regulation strategies in my practice, depending on each client’s unique needs.

I am highly experienced working with trauma, anxiety, depression, neurodivergency, and family issues. I graduated with my Masters degree in psychology from Western Michigan University and have been working as a clinical psychologist for seven years. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), positive psychology, and mindfulness. Welcome. My name is Julia, and I’m here to support you. As a therapist, I specialize in trauma recovery and all that comes with it - depression, anxiety, grief, anger, coping (both healthy and unhealthy), and more. I have specific experience working with people battling substance abuse, and with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I primarily use mindfulness, parts work, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) skills, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in sessions with my clients. Therapy is a lot like exercise - it’s hard to get started, it hurts while you’re doing it… and you’re always glad you did it anyway. The first step is asking for help. This is hard, but you can absolutely do it. You're already here, aren't you?

You know life has ups and downs, but the challenges you are facing can make it feel like an endless rollercoaster. Whether you are struggling with 'adulting' or other life changes, I completely understand your need for life to be easier. Through our time together, you can begin to feel a sense of calm and get back on track to living a purposeful life. As a therapist specializing in life changes & anxiety, I am committed to helping you find more life balance and a sense of inner peace. I work with both individuals and families. With two decades of experience, you can rest easy knowing you are in capable hands. Your life is hectic and choosing a therapist can be overwhelming. I want you to receive the best possible care, which means working with the RIGHT therapist (not just some random name from a list). That’s why I offer a free call to help you decide. If I'm not a fit, I can provide you with referrals. I primarily work with young adults and other helping professionals (teachers, nurses, physicians, and other therapists) who may be struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, family problems, and/or navigating difficult life changes. My clients typically begin to experience gradual relief within 2 months of weekly sessions. I utilize an integrative approach to therapy with strategies from many effective treatment types including ACT, Brainspotting, IFS Informed Parts Work, and Motivational Interviewing. You can expect your experience to be welcoming & casual (never super stuffy or formal). I believe in honoring each person's strengths & consciously creating a space where you can feel free to be your authentic self. Walk & Talk sessions are available in Flagstaff during summer months and in Chandler in the winter. **Now partnering with Mentaya for help in submitting your out-of-network insurance claims. I am committed to making therapy accessible by contracting with Lyra EAP, offering limited sliding scale slots, and accepting HSA and FSA funds. My educational background: 2001 Bachelor of Science in Psychology- University of Michigan-Flint 2006 Master of Social Work University of Michigan- Ann Arbor LCSW in Arizona since 2009

My goal for counseling is to provide an open and accepting environment for everyone. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and it's important to feel connected to whoever you work with. I hope that my practice provides that for you.

Navigating life as a young adult and all the stress and mental health challenges that come with it makes this the right time to reach out. It takes real courage to be here and to show up for yourself. Experiencing personal struggles, relationship issues and loss impact how we see ourselves and the world around us. Together we will create a space of trust where it is safe to be vulnerable. In a space where you feel seen, heard and understood is where you will then be able to create change. I am eager to support you on your journey of personal change.

Hi, I’m Stacie! Are you feeling stuck, anxious, or weighed down by life’s challenges? Perhaps you’re facing a significant transition, questioning your self-worth, or struggling to balance work, family, and personal responsibilities. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. I specialize in helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, life changes, and career or academic stress. I also have a passion for supporting women through parenting challenges, trauma recovery, self-esteem issues, and relationship concerns. I blend evidence-based techniques with genuine empathy and strong communication skills. Our sessions are collaborative and tailored to you. We’ll work together to identify what’s holding you back, build practical coping tools, and uncover strengths you might not even realize you have. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and supported as you work toward healing and growth. Hi and welcome! I'm so glad you are here. I approach therapy like a conversation: collaborative, with warmth, humor and honesty. I use an integrative approach that is unique to you and your needs. Together, we’ll identify the strengths already within you, explore how you relate to yourself and others, and gently challenge what no longer works for you anymore. Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent a decade working in international and US-based nonprofits, living abroad for a number of those years and engaging with people and cultures from all over the world. I also have worked within higher education in residential life and student life roles. All of these experiences were their own sort of education, helping me learn how to navigate the changes, surprises, and complexities of life. It would be my honor to sit with you as you navigate your own story.

Let's turn your pain and uncertainty into growth you never thought possible. In solution-focused therapy, we work together to create a life that's worth celebrating. I have a passion for helping those who suffer chronic pain and illnesses. I particularly enjoy working with people of diverse backgrounds, including members of the LGBT+ community. If you're looking for support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction, I'm ready to partner with you. Let's do this.
