Do you look like you have it all together on the outside—but feel overwhelmed, anxious, or exhausted on the inside? If you're constantly chasing perfection, struggling to slow down, or feeling like it's never enough, you’re not alone. I am passionate about working with teens and emerging adults navigating high-functioning anxiety and perfectionism. Therapy can help you quiet your inner critic, manage anxiety, and build a life rooted in balance—not burnout. Let’s work together to help you feel more grounded. I use an integrative approach that is based on psychodynamic, relational, and cognitive behavioral techniques. Through a holistic lens, we’ll explore the emotional, physical, and relational aspects of your life so you can move forward with confidence. I have experience supporting clients through a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, substance use, relationship issues, and the transition from high school to college. I will provide you with a collaborative environment where your thoughts, feelings, and experiences are taken seriously. I believe that therapy is most effective when it’s a partnership — we’ll work together to identify your goals, explore challenges, and build on your strengths. You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Let’s navigate this chapter together!

Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It usually means you’ve been carrying a lot for a long time. I work with college students and young adults who are trying to keep up on the outside while feeling stressed, burned out, or unsure of themselves on the inside. Therapy with me is practical, supportive, and focused on helping you understand what’s actually driving your anxiety, overthinking, or self-doubt, and what to do about it in real life. Sessions are a space to slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and build tools you can use outside of therapy. You don’t need to have the right words, a clear goal, or a crisis to start. We take things at your pace and figure it out together. If you’re curious about therapy but not sure it’s for you, a consultation is a low-pressure way to ask questions and see if it feels like a good fit.

I am a bilingual speaking clinical psychologist providing short-term and long-term psychotherapy. I specialize in treating general mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. My approach is integrative drawing from psychodynamic theory, interpersonal skills, CBT and DBT. There is no one size fits all model and each session varies based on my client's needs. My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where my clients can freely express their struggles and explore their vulnerability. Collaboratively, we will understand the underlying issues and work towards feeling better. I received my doctorate from the New School for Social Research and completed my internship at Northwell Health- LlJ- Zucker Hillside. I was previously employed at NYPD and NYU Langone. I have extensive experience working with children, adults, and geriatrics in different settings including inpatient care, partial programs, outpatient services. For 30+ years, I've helped adults recover from complex trauma, developmental and attachment trauma, narcissistic and psychopathic abuse, addictive disorders, emotional neglect and chronic relationship difficulties. My clients are insightful, motivated individuals struggling with codependency, dissociation, or the lasting effects of childhood trauma. Through trauma-informed psychodynamic therapy we identify and transform the survival patterns that once protected you but now limit your life. Healing fosters regulation and safety, allowing the parts of yourself exiled by fear, neglect, betrayal, and chronic adaptation to be reclaimed. I integrate psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-informed therapy with attachment theory, somatic awareness, neuroscience, mindfulness, and spiritual exploration. My goal is not simply symptom relief, but helping you create a cohesive, authentic life aligned with your deepest values and fullest potential. Therapy is a collaborative process grounded in curiosity, compassion and respect. Together we excavate the deeper origins of your emotional suffering while developing practical tools for nervous system regulation, healthier relationships, and lasting change. Even when trauma has shaped your life new patterns of safety, connection, and vitality can emerge.

If you’re looking for a therapist who shows up like a regular person, and not a blank slate, look no further. In this room, you won’t get a lot of blank “I see” or “Ahh.” Instead, you’ll have a therapist who is warm, empathetic, and (most importantly) FUNNY. I aim to make the therapy room a space where you can show up exactly as you are. That is, authentically you, whatever that looks like on any given day. We can make space to laugh, to cry, to feel what it is you need to feel in order to help you grow into the you that you want to be. I want this relationship to feel collaborative and within your boundaries. If something we’re doing isn’t working for you, tell me and let’s work together to find something that works for you!

I work especially well with clients who think deeply, feel intensely, and are tired of talking in circles—whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, low mood, or big life transitions. My approach blends evidence-informed psychotherapy with optional art-based work to help you access emotions, shift patterns, and build steadier self-trust. You don’t need to be “creative” to benefit—this is about expression and insight, not making something perfect.

Learning how to navigate life as a young adult is hard! You are trying to balance the demands of work or school, family, and friends, all while figuring out who you are and who you want to be. As a driven and successful individual, you may put a lot of pressure on yourself and feel constrained by your own expectations. This can lead to constant self-doubt and feeling like you're always reaching for an unattainable (or unrealistic) goal. You may be overextending yourself to others, and not focusing on yourself. Perhaps you have negative thought patterns or behaviors that are causing discomfort or you don't always understand your reactions. Virtual therapy can help. Let's work together to discover the barriers that are keeping you from finding balance in your life - taking care of yourself and setting boundaries is not selfish!

Let’s be honest, going to therapy can be a little intimidating. I know what you are thinking, “what would speaking to a shrink do for me? I have so much on my mind, it will take more than a few sessions to unleash everything.” Well…I got time AND passion. I believe that as human beings living in our present society, we are conditioned to put our needs aside and we frequently forget how to take care of ourselves. As your therapist, I am strongly devoted to assisting you in tackling life challenges, managing problems, and coming out stronger than ever because YOU are capable. My approach to therapy is to use a strength based perspective, CBT and create an unapologetic space for my client. I want my client to feel they don't need to sugar coat anything in sessions because I truly believe transparency will open up my client's full potential to self-discovery and personal growth. I know taking this next step is scary AND brave. Imagine yourself opening up to possibilities you only dreamt of and finally being in control over your life and happiness. Let's work together to build that dream by tackling those negative thought distortions and create new perspectives in order to create your new reality.

College can be one of the most exciting times in your life: but it can also bring a lot of pressure. Between classes, deadlines, part time jobs, and planning for the future, it is easy to feel overwhelmed. If you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trouble concentrating, mood swings, or just not feeling like yourself, you are not alone—and you don’t have to push through it without support. I’m a provider with extensive experience treating adults 18+ across a wide range of mental health conditions. Over the years, I’ve worked in some of New York City’s leading hospitals, including Mount Sinai’s Main Campus, Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Queens Hospital, Elmhurst Hospital, and Bronx Lebanon Hospital. I’ve provided care in emergency psychiatric settings (CPEP), inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and through telepsychiatry—giving me a deep understanding of both urgent and long-term mental health needs. My current focus is medication management, tailored specifically to your unique symptoms and goals. Whether you’re struggling with focus, managing your mood, dealing with panic attacks, or just trying to function under the weight of constant stress, I’ll work with you to find a treatment plan that fits—and actually helps. To make care more accessible, I offer flexible evening and weekend appointments, so your mental health doesn’t have to take a back seat to everything else on your plate. With a South Asian background and fluency in Urdu/Hindi, I deeply understand the cultural stigma and access challenges many patients face. This insight informs my compassionate, individualized, evidence-based approach, especially for complex cases.

Welcome to your therapy journey, or welcome back! Now that you’re here, what do you discuss? How do you begin that conversation about mental health and wellness? As your therapist, I will immerse you in the therapy experience and provide a safe space for you to talk about yourself and what you’re looking for. In my work, I am a queer-affirming therapist who takes a relational approach to therapy, where I encourage you to explore your past relationships and reflect upon how they may have impacted you now. I treat anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD, life transitions, and negative self-esteem, and work with a diverse range of clients like college students, adults, and individuals in BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ communities. I have experience working in various clinical settings and previously worked at LaGuardia Community College's Wellness Center where I learned how to navigate a college counseling environment while providing care for hard-working students experiencing academic-related concerns. Outside of therapy, I am an artist, a social justice advocate, and an animal lover. If you are interested in booking with me, please schedule an appointment through Greenpoint Psychotherapy’s website. If you are a provider, feel free to email me or send a referral and I will respond accordingly.

I have worked with individuals across the lifespan and specialize in working with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, grief and loss, complex life transitions, interpersonal and gender-based violence and systems-related stressors. These experiences can all quietly reshape how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and how we move through each day. Sometimes these experiences feel sudden and acute. Other times, they build slowly until something that once felt manageable starts to feel like too much. I also bring a unique lens from my background as a postpartum doula, where I supported birthing people and families through the emotional and physical transitions of early parenthood. My approach to therapy is relational, collaborative, and strengths-based. I believe that each person's experiences and needs are unique, so I am less interested in delivering a formula and more interested in understanding what's actually going on for you. I work collaboratively with patients to create a space that feels supportive, genuine, and emotionally safe. Starting therapy for the first time can feel intimidating, vulnerable, or even emotionally draining. You don't need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy, and you also don't need to wait until things feel "bad enough" to deserve support. Therapy is a process, and it's okay if opening up takes time. It's important to remember that things can often feel harder before they start to feel better – that's not a sign something is wrong. The right therapeutic space will allow you to feel comfortable being honest at your own pace, without fear of judgment.

We specialize in working with survivors of sexual violence, both from childhood and adulthood. Our services are fully virtual, and we offer both individual and group therapy. Sessions with me are relaxed, productive, and quite often include some laughter mixed in! Clients can feel comfortable sharing as much, or as little, of their stories as they wish. Having a history of sexual violence can have a tremendous effect on our lives, consciously and unconsciously, impacting current relationships, our sense-of-self, and the way we connect with others. Our all-women team of therapists help clients build coping skills, reduce PTSD symptoms, and feel happier and safer as they move through the world. We operate from a feminist perspective and utilize trauma-informed approaches to foster resiliency and empower women to achieve all that they are capable of.

I’m a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW) and former corporate attorney, now based in New York City. I work with students, young professionals, and emerging leaders who often feel capable and accomplished on the outside but unsettled or stuck internally. I provide depth-oriented, relational therapy, helping clients explore patterns in relationships, identity, and emotional life. My work is informed by attachment, parts-based approaches (IFS), and somatic awareness, with extensive experience supporting trauma survivors. In our work together, I aim to create a reflective, safe space where you can explore what’s really behind the surface of your experiences, without manuals, homework, or pressure. I pay close attention to the relational dynamics between us, while giving you room to wander and discover. I work with adults, couples, and emerging adults, and I also facilitate two small support groups: one for male survivors of childhood sexual abuse and one for new therapists navigating their early clinical work.
