Since starting private practice, my clients have been for the most part POC, LGBTQ/non-binary, undergrad/graduate students. Since I spent five years teaching as an adjunct and then full-time professor (in nursing), I have some insights into the challenges today's students currently experience and believe I can be a useful asset toward managing any symptoms that may interfere with obtaining your degree. Even though I am a prescriber, I treat the whole person. I don't want to just know the medicine efficacy, or lack thereof; I also want to know what's going on in your life. Is there balance? Are you connected socially? Should we also be discussing any family issues? Going off to school can be challenging and although psychotropic medication plays a role in ameliorating anxiety and depression, we also can engage non-pharmacologic interventions to get you to a better place.

She believes therapy should be rewarding not because it enables a continuation of how life has been, but rather because it inspires gentle challenge and change for the future.
Creating a space for someone to feel supported and heard is my first priority. The most important aspect of a therapeutic relationship is the dynamic between client and therapist. When you truly feel comfortable and understood by your therapist then that is when therapy can thrive. The goal in the work we do is to focus on assisting you in healing so that you are able to use the space and time we have to decipher what would work best for you to move forward. Therapy is a place for you to unwind, unload and have an opportunity to speak your thoughts out loud, reflect and make sense of how you would like to proceed away from stress, anxiety, anger, melancholy or behaviors that are no longer useful and yet challenging to change. I have worked in the field of HIV, substance use and mental health for over a decade. Primarily working in community health centers and non profit organizations, I have had the honor of providing mental health services to homeless men and women, adults who are actively using substances and unsure of what changes they would like to make, if any, and with homeless youth who are struggling with a severe mental illness. My graduate education and training was started and completed in the Bay Area where I also taught mindfulness meditation through a research study at UCSF. I am a Latino Bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in the state of New York. I specialize in working with people, in both English and Spanish, who are struggling with Substance Use, Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Sexual Identity, Coming out, Gender Identity & Transition, HIV-related issues, Relationship issues, Grief and Loss, Sexual Difficulties, Migration issues and adapting to a new country with a sensitivity to diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds. In addition I also specialize in working with people who believe in non traditional sexual relationships and expressions. I am currently accepting new clients in the Flatiron District of New York City. If you are considering therapy or even just pondering on whether this is a right fit for you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I am a board-certified, Cornell and Mount Sinai-trained adult and child psychiatrist in New York and California. My approach to treatment is holistic and firmly rooted in the science of the brain, combining psychotherapy (for individuals, families, and couples) with nutrition, lifestyle modification, as well as state-of-the-art medication treatment, when helpful. I view each person as a complex individual with a unique story to tell, so I take time getting to know my clients and work collaboratively to develop a targeted plan to achieve their treatment goals. I have expertise in treating depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, tic, ADHD, ODD, personality disorders, and eating disorders in children, teens, adults, and in pregnant and breastfeeding women. I also work with adults transitioning into parenthood, and with infants and toddlers. I am available for consultations and second opinions. I do not accept insurance (payment is out of pocket), but I do provide invoices for out-of-network claims. I do not take medicaid or medicare at this time.
I have been in the mental health field since 2018, starting as a peer counselor before earning my graduate degree in counseling. I specialize in supporting the LGBTQ-plus population and have worked with individuals throughout New York State, always using an empathetic and understanding approach. As a South Asian and Hispanic queer therapist, I deeply understand the complexities and stigma surrounding mental health, especially within communities of color. I specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy, offering tailored strategies that honor your unique experiences and empower you to uncover new insights about yourself.

I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ clients and also welcome individuals of all identities who are navigating identity exploration, depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma including CPTSD/PTSD, and more. Also, I offer ketamine integration therapy. I have additional experience working with college students and young adults, and understand the joys and challenges that come with this phase of life. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each person’s needs. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and understood so we can explore what’s bringing you to therapy and work toward meaningful change. Together, we may focus on understanding patterns in your thoughts and relationships, processing difficult (and happy!) experiences, and developing tools that help you move through life with greater clarity and resilience.

My name is Kate. I am a psychotherapist with 20 years experience in the field. My practice is LGBTQI+ focused, though clients of all identities work with me. Clients come to me to reduce distress and bring ease into their lives. I practice affirmative therapy that is trauma-informed, nonjudgmental, and direct. I view therapy as a collaborative journey towards self-discovery, healing, and symptom relief. During our first therapy session, we will outline your goals, discuss your expectations, and leave plenty of time for you to ask questions. We will create a therapy plan together that provides an environment for you to explore needs, process your past and present, and identify new approaches to challenges in your life. I utilize psychodynamic psychotherapy, behavioral therapies such as DBT and ACT, and attachment-focused psychotherapy. I believe therapy is an evolving process between client and therapist, and methods can shift as therapy unfolds. I conduct all sessions remotely via zoom. I have current availability for individual sessions and gender affirming surgery letters.

Each clinician is trained in both psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral approaches, so we use an integrative approach specially tailored to each client. Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or drained? Do you feel like no one understands what you have gone through/are going through? Or do you find that you keep your feelings and personal experiences to yourself so you’re not a burden to others? You are not alone. It is not uncommon to feel disconnected and lonely, especially in this day and age. My name is Patricia Sibiga and I am a graduate student at CUNY Hunter studying Mental Health Counseling. My goal is to work together to talk through feelings of dissatisfaction and having a space where you feel safe, comfortable, and heard. Being vulnerable about your feelings and experiences can feel really scary and hard to do, especially if you have experienced being shut down when trying to in the past. Holding onto difficult feelings on your own can start to feel like a weight on your shoulders that continues to get heavier without an end in sight. Starting therapy can help to release that weight and strengthen your resilience to life’s inevitable encounters. My ambition as a therapist-in-training is to create a space where you are able to discuss these feelings and experiences without feeling shut down and unheard. You deserve to have a space in your life to discuss these topics in a non-judgmental, uplifting environment! My practice is rooted in psychodynamic, CBT, and mindfulness based approaches with a sprinkle of somatic therapy. With these theoretical approaches, we can work together to learn how current and past experiences are impacting your day-to-day, to practice grounding and mindfulness, and discover healthy cognitive behaviors and coping skills that may help with psychological distress. Patricia Sibiga is a therapist-in-training at Sol Health. Sol Health is a digital health startup that offers $30 therapy to Gen Zs by connecting them with therapist-in-training accruing clinical hours.
I work to help clients better adjust to academic and social stressors, as well as to make more meaningful connections. I encourage engagement in therapy towards your own empowerment and self-growth. My style of therapy is client-centered and humanistic.
