At Kind Mind Psychological Services, our team is dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges with clarity, resilience, and confidence. We work collaboratively with you to better understand your experiences, guiding you through the process of healing from difficult emotions, past experiences, and periods of transition. Our mission is to empower you to build meaningful, lasting change by developing practical skills, healthier perspectives, and a deeper understanding of yourself. Grounded in both clinical expertise and strong organizational leadership, our practice is designed to ensure that compassionate care and operational excellence work hand in hand to support your growth. Our clinicians use evidence-based approaches, including cognitive and behavioral therapies, to create structured, personalized treatment plans tailored to your unique needs. Drawing from integrative modalities such as relational, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), and existential therapies, we help clients identify and dismantle unhelpful patterns—whether they stem from anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship challenges—and replace them with more adaptive ways of thinking, feeling, and living. We believe that every individual possesses the internal capacity for transformation, and our role is to help you access and strengthen those resources.
Welcome! Thank you so much for being here. As a Dominican-American and first-generation college graduate, I understand the challenges of breaking generational barriers and the value of feeling truly supported. I work with children, teens, and adults, supporting them as they navigate stress, anxiety, depression, and life's many transitions. Please know that you don't have to face any of this alone. Together, we'll create a nonjudgmental, caring space where you can pause, reflect, and gently explore what's on your heart and mind at your own pace. I believe healing occurs when you feel safe, seen, and accepted for who you are. In our sessions, I offer empathy, curiosity, and patience, creating a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. My approach blends Person-Centered, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to foster insight, trust, and tools for growth. Therapy isn’t about fixing you; it's about walking alongside you, helping you reconnect with your strengths, and creating a safe space for processing and transformation. Wherever you are on your journey, I’m here to support you. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, I would be honored to connect. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
I work with individuals of all ages facing life transitions and challenges. My goal is for you to feel comfortable and to take the time you need to build trust. Whether you're dealing with relationship issues, a recent loss, parenting struggles, career demands, or striving to find your voice among life's various challenges, I am here to offer empathy and support. Let’s navigate uncertain times together while fostering hope, resilience, and self-compassion. As a therapist who is bicultural and bilingual in Spanish and English, I am deeply committed to providing culturally-informed therapy. Drawing on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBIs), we'll focus on your unique abilities to find solutions to challenges together.
Welcome to Soul Sync Health! We are a psychiatrist-led, trauma-informed practice in New York dedicated to providing evidence-based care for students and young adults. Many of the individuals we work with share a common feeling: on the outside, they seem to be "handling it," but on the inside, they are running on fumes. Whether you are navigating the pressure of being a high-achiever, feeling the weight of "imposter syndrome," or struggling to find your identity outside of academic or family expectations, you aren’t alone. We believe that your mental health cannot be separated from the world you live in, which is why our work is rooted in the understanding that your race, gender, sexuality, and cultural background deeply shape your lived experience. We invite your whole self into the room, acknowledging that systemic barriers and identity-based struggles are often at the heart of the stress you carry. We’ve found that our clients thrive best in a space where they don’t have to "perform" or explain away their cultural values. If you’re tired of being told to simply "practice self-care" while your plate remains overflowingly full, we offer a different, culturally responsive approach. Our practice is a judgment-free zone where we help you untangle the "mental fog" of anxiety, code-switching, and decision fatigue. By breaking down big, overwhelming feelings into smaller, manageable pieces, we work together to move you from a state of constant survival to a place of genuine, grounded confidence. We strive to provide care that is curious rather than presumptive, meeting you with the validation you deserve as you navigate the complexities of your unique identity. Our ultimate goal is to help you build a life that feels authentic to you, not just one that looks good on paper. We work best with those who are ready to look beneath the surface and explore the roots of their stress, building sustainable tools that last long after graduation. At Soul Sync Health, we prioritize a collaborative approach that honors your perspective and helps you dismantle the internal and external pressures holding you back. You don’t need to have the "right" words or a perfect plan to start; you just need to show up as you are. We’re here to help you find your own rhythm in the middle of all the noise.

College and the years around it can be a lot, academic pressure, anxiety, relationships, identity, and sometimes experiences that are genuinely hard to carry alone. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who helps students and young adults find steadier ground. I specialize in trauma and have worked directly with college students, including those facing prejudice on campus and communities navigating crisis. My style is warm and judgment-free, and I use evidence-based tools including CBT, DBT, and EMDR alongside trauma-informed care and skills for building safety, so you leave sessions with more than just a place to vent. Telehealth makes it easy to fit therapy around a packed schedule. If you're ready, I'd love to help.
My approach to therapy is rooted in anti-oppression principles. I have specialized training in trauma practice, particularly around experiences of abuse, violence, and intergenerational trauma. I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques, including psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems/parts work, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and other relational approaches. My approach is collaborative and flexible, meaning that clients and I talk through the styles and tools we can use to best fit what they would like to work through. Much of my experience is working with people of color and queer and trans/GNC communities. My approach is warm, curious, and collaborative, fostering individuals’ ability to build resilience, joy, and power. In my practice, I welcome my clients to process things of all sizes (their traumas and their milder annoyances), explore their identities and experiences, and express a wide range of emotions. You can expect direct communication from me, reflections of what I notice about your patterns and processes, questions to deepen both of our understandings of yourself, and invitations for mutual feedback. I value autonomy and will never pressure you to share things you aren't ready to share, or simply do not want to share.

Alicia truly enjoys working with all college students, especially those struggling with anxiety, self esteem/self-image, adjustment issues, relationship issues, stress, and trauma.

Using a variety of techniques, I can help you develop coping skills, improve your communication and relationship skills, and build a stronger sense of self. I work with college students navigating life transitions, loss, and the question of who they are and what comes next, often carrying patterns, unspoken expectations, or a sense of self shaped by experiences they didn't choose. As a bilingual, native Spanish-speaking therapist, I understand how nuanced identity can be and how exhausting it is when that isn't fully seen or honored. My specialty is helping young adult clients reclaim a sense of self during stages of life where identity and agency are often overlooked. I believe in a body-first, present-focused approach to treat your symptoms, prioritizing stabilization while trusting that lasting change comes from a deeper understanding of our histories, relationships, internal worlds, and motivations.
Therapy is a powerful tool in the process of inviting our most authentic selves to emerge. My approach is grounded in an integrative blend of Eastern and Western modalities and philosophies with the goal of fostering a greater connection between the mind, body, and spirit. In sessions, we will bring awareness to the relationship between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to better understand the blockages that are preventing you from living a fully expressed life. I provide a compassionate and safe container to work towards healing past wounds while addressing present problems. I received my Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University and have been trained in Holistic Psychotherapy by Rebecca Greene, LMHC, CYT. My treatment modalities include Psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, Relationship Counseling, and Interpersonal Psychology. I have experience working with a wide range of clients across various stages of life who are working through issues related to relationships, codependency, grief, past and present trauma, anxiety, stress, and the feeling of overwhelm, spirituality, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. I am affirming of diverse orientations, identities, relationships, and family systems including, but not limited to Polyamory and Consensual Non Monogamy, LGBTQAI2+, Genderqueer, Kink/BDSM, Monogamous, Straight, and committed Allies and family members. I welcome your email or call to set up a no-fee consultation session so we can explore the possibility of working together!
I am looking for people who are looking for change (some change takes 2). My eclectic professional and cultural background helps me build rapport and join with people from all walks of life, young and old. My bilingual upbringing and life experience allows me to practice psychotherapy in Russian with native Russian speakers.
