I am a New York State licensed therapist working with adults and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, and OCD. Many of the people I work with are high functioning and successful, but feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, avoidance, or low mood that are difficult to shift. In therapy, we focus on understanding these patterns and developing practical strategies to respond differently. This often includes learning skills to manage intrusive or anxious thoughts, improve mood, and increase tolerance for uncertainty and difficult emotions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in practical strategies, while also providing space to explore underlying factors that may cause distress. I use evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
Overwhelmed, tired, procrastinating/frozen, noisy mind, lonely, having trouble managing your time, navigating the social scene, taking care of yourself? It is a gift to work with you; to bear witness to your being, your pain, and your story. The therapeutic relationship can be transformative. Life often comes at you from many angles, and sometimes the weight of change, anxiety, or difficult memories can make it hard to feel like yourself. With more than six years of experience as a licensed mental health counselor, my work is built around helping adolescents and adults navigate life's transitions, work through relationship issues, find balance, and reconnect with who they know themselves to be. Specializing in life adjustments that have often been created from feelings of anxiety and even potential traumatic experiences/memories, I understand how deeply personal and layered these experiences can be. Whether you're processing a major shift or working through something that has lingered for years, you deserve care that meets you where you are. My commitment to you goes beyond the session: I am dedicated to consistently evolving and growing with you each step of the way, while also focusing on continuing education to recognize and treat the various personal and life stressors taking place in the world around us. In our work together, the focus is entirely on you, because what you're experiencing, and related symptoms, deserve to be treated. Using evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic therapy, we'll move toward self-healing in a way that feels grounded and sustainable. Support, motivation, and accountability are at the heart of how I practice. You can also expect therapeutic homework from time to time, with real-world opportunities to practice the skills we explore in session. Bringing those tools into your daily life is, I believe, one of the most powerful ways to set the tone and get us back to where we want to be. My path to becoming a therapist, much like life itself, has not always been linear and clear. Growing up in a divorced household, change and adjustment were constants. It was through my own experience in therapy that I discovered something remarkable: healing is genuinely possible, and with the right support, so is transformation. That discovery became the foundation of my practice. What was given to me through that work is exactly what I want to offer you. Change is achievable, on any level, and you don't have to find your way there alone. When I'm not in session, you'll likely find me cheering on a favorite team, getting lost in a psychological thriller, or spending time with family.

Letting yourself be vulnerable with a stranger can be scary and I commend you for taking the first step. Using a client-centered approach, my goal is to help you explore, set and reach achievable goals by focusing on strengths and increasing your self awareness of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I aim to provide each of my client's with an environment thats safe and supportive while encouraging growth, and self-efficacy. I currently work with adolescents/adults seeking support for anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, women’s issues, ADHD, stress management.
At times the stressors in life can be crushing and prevent us from achieving our goals, or even forming goals. Each person defines stress in unique terms that can produce anxiety; related to striving for perfection, or feeling alone, or persistent unhappiness with our appearance, or fearful, or overwhelmed by responsibilities. Sometimes one specific event can alter our lives forever; the loss of a loved one, sexual assault/abuse and rape, becoming the victim of violence and witnessing violence. My practice is centered on the belief that difficulties in our lives can be mended and lead to stronger well-being. I support young people to manage stressors by building a safe therapeutic relationship to do the hard work of alleviating hurt and changing the way we manage the barriers to success.
I use my full experience from living in China, France, Japan, and the U.S., and from working in management consulting, nonprofits, and the arts in my work as a therapist. I am adept at working with people from varied backgrounds. I am astute, compassionate, and deeply committed to my clients' well-being. I engage my clients not only on the inner- and inter-personal levels, but also in the contexts of their intersecting roles and identities. I am attuned to the mutual influence that individuals and groups have on one another and the interconnectedness in life's pain and healing. By working with a caring and attuned professional, my clients can feel safe and free to explore and work through their experiences of depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, loneliness, shame, and anger, all the while developing their courage, resilience, understanding, and self-acceptance. I am fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and can supplement my work with advanced French and intermediate Spanish. I also provide consultation and training to early- and mid- career clinicians in the U.S. and China.
Students who find me most helpful are often trying to figure out who they are as separate but connected to their parents and family. I especially love working with first gen and immigrant students because I am both. I have lived and worked on four continents and English is actually not my first language, so students who are navigating intercultural issues also find it easy to connect with me. In terms of the kinds of issues students work with me on, it includes: depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship worries, fear of failure, and self esteem. I look forward to hearing from you!

Goooooood day to you, person seeking a therapist! I'm Karina Le, a licensed masters social worker who uses they/them pronouns. I'm a therapist who is passionate about walking alongside clients as they discover (or rediscover) their voice, reclaim their space, and reimagine what it means to live authentically. With a clinical foundation rooted in trauma-informed care, I specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, people of color, and those navigating complex family dynamics or cultural transitions. I earned my Masters of Social Work from Nazareth and hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Rochester Institute of Technology. My clinical experience spans individual and group therapy over the past few years, including inpatient adolescent mental health care and work focused on CBT, DBT, identity development, and support for BIPOC students. I also have experiencing in case management during a time spent shadowing case managers in community mental health settings. What really grounds my work is a deep understanding of what it means to perform for others at the expense of self, and the transformative power of therapy to unlearn those patterns. I'm especially passionate about working with clients in transition: young adults entering new chapters, adults shifting paths, and anyone beginning to ask, “Who am I, really?” My approach is curious, nonjudgmental, and always rooted in the belief that therapy can be a radical act of self-love. Please note that I am a part of a greater clinic at Renew Hope and Healing, specifically at their Henrietta location. To schedule an appointment with me, you will have to call our staff at 585-398-8835 and request to work with me specifically, or through our online scheduling at https://renewhopeandhealing.com/online-appointment-request/ I am currently able to accept Excellus and other BCBS insurances, MVP Health Care, and Aetna insurances. I am currently waiting on United to get back to me about being able to take their insurances. If you are out-of-network, I would highly recommend contacting the billing team at Renew via our phone number or at our email billing@renewhopeandhealing.com regarding any questions you have about being able to work with me and still use your out-of-network insurance.
As an existential therapist, I consider clients as fellow humans navigating through the hardships of life. I believe therapy serves as a lighthouse, supporting people on the path towards self-discovery, joy, and a fulfilling life.
Hi, I’m Dhvani! I offer virtual therapy sessions for students in NY and NJ who may be looking for support beyond their campus counseling center. I work with people navigating anxiety, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions—especially during demanding or uncertain times in school. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to make sense of what you’re going through. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices like mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I understand that therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. Together, we’ll tailor our work based on your goals—whether that means building practical tools to manage day-to-day stress or exploring deeper patterns that may be shaping your experiences. Finding the right therapist matters. If you’re interested in working together, I’d be happy to connect for a free consultation to see if it feels like a good fit for you.
