My intention as a psychotherapist is to create a safe and supportive environment in which people can learn and share more about themselves, and in so doing, ease their suffering and create possibilities of positive movement and change in their lives. I am grounded in a relational and psychodynamic approach. This means that I am attuned to building a respectful interactive relationship, and that I bring an awareness of the deep impact of the past on people's present lives. My practice is diverse, with a specialization in trauma focused psychotherapy. Other areas of expertise are the treatment of depression, grief and loss, anxiety, relational issues, emotional regulation, and difficulties with family of origin.
TriBeCa Therapy is a center for psychotherapy that was founded on the assumption that human beings are original, imaginative, inspired, and inventive. We particularly love our work with young adults and college students and are connected to issues they deal with. Issues related to sex and dating, drugs and drinking, depression and anxiety and academic pressures aren’t topics that will freak us out. We can handle it. College students frequently discuss with us challenges related to making friends in ways that don’t involve alcohol, making friends as a person of color, navigating social situations that demand connecting with strangers (like in the cafeteria) and finding “their people.” We work to create a partnership that takes these challenges on together, trying new strategies, taking increasingly bigger risks and dealing with the disappointments and celebrating the successes that follow. The students I work best with are curious, thoughtful, and often in a period of deep self-questioning. Many are figuring out who they are, what they believe, and what kind of life they want to build. Some have experimented with psychedelics and are left with big questions afterward about meaning, identity, emotions, or reality itself. They want support in making sense of those experiences in a grounded, non-judgmental way. I also work well with students who feel alone or disconnected, especially when that feeling traces back to childhood experiences, family dynamics, or early trauma. These students may struggle with anxiety, sadness, shame, or a sense that they don’t quite belong. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, feel understood, and explore what’s coming up without pressure to have it all figured out.
I specialize in providing queer-affirming therapy to adults who are experiencing difficulties navigating identity issues, burnout, stress, and stigma. I have experience working with college students on self-esteem, identity exploration, perfectionism, anxiety, and practical skills such as time management.

If you have been through traumatic experiences, you may be among the many who continue to carry deep pain. Perhaps you find that you are struggling to live the life you seek or feel like something is missing. The good news is that therapy can help! As a veteran, I have been on my own healing journey. And as a therapist, I have worked with people who have experienced many forms of trauma, including work at a clinic dedicated to serving 9/11 First Responders. Through your courage and commitment plus my warmth and expertise, we can collaborate to help you feel a greater sense of peace in yourself and confidence as you navigate the world. Addressing trauma is my overarching area of emphasis. I am also passionate about working with people with relationship struggles, challenges related to religion or spirituality, and those wanting to explore the meanings of past psychedelic experiences. I offer individual psychotherapy and, under certain conditions, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy. If you are ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out to schedule a complimentary phone consultation.
If you find yourself constantly caught up in a cycle of overthinking & overachieving, seeking balance and centeredness in your life, I am here to help. Through therapy, we will explore strategies to calm the racing thoughts, ease the pressure of constant doing, and rediscover a sense of harmony within yourself. While we may not possess the ability to directly control our thoughts & feelings, we do hold the power to consciously choose our responses to these internal experiences. Together, we can navigate the challenges you face, while embracing laughter, acceptance, and an authentic connection that promotes growth & well-being. I specialize in treating OCD, anxiety, & perfectionism. I enjoy helping young adults navigate professional, social, & romantic challenges. Therapy should be tailored, not one-size-fits-all. That's why I adopt an integrative approach, drawing from the rich foundations of acceptance & commitment and cognitive-behavioral therapies for a comprehensive approach. Congratulations on starting this exciting journey of self-discovery! Whether you're well-versed in therapy or just starting out, my aim is to enhance your life & be a valuable support. I bring a compassionate curiosity, a sense of humor, & casual/conversational style. I'd love to hear from you and offer a complimentary consultation to answer questions

I have worked in schools, clinics, and private practice in New York City and Austin. The college years are an exciting time, but also can be challenging with navigating all the changes and making big life decisions. I support Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) in releasing all that no longer serves, in order to become your aligned true self + develop more balanced connections with others. Are you BIPOC and... - Feel disconnected from self, stuck, confused and or without a sense of direction or purpose? - Began to realize that you tend to put others first and struggle to set + hold firm to your boundaries? - Have grown tired of the same patterns in your life which lead to disappointment + frustration? - Have realized that you're part of unbalanced relationships and are interested in learning how to change them? OR - Have tried therapy before and felt disconnected from the process? - Believe in signs & angel numbers, or have been curious, and are interested in incorporating these practices into your therapeutic process + healing? - Are into crystals & wondered how to utilize them to influence your daily life & being? - Believe in spirits and the metaphysical & yearn for a therapeutic space to freely speak of your experiences without judgement? - Have found yourself feeling the need for support on a spiritual level?
