Hola mi gente! I am a licensed, bilingual mental health counselor who works with college-aged and emerging adult populations. I support students experiencing anxiety, depression, stress management concerns, and life transitions by providing a collaborative and non-judgmental space to explore challenges and build practical coping skills. My goal is to help students feel supported, empowered, and better equipped to navigate both academic and personal stressors. I offer services in both English and Spanish.
Hi, I'm Kayla! My goal as a therapist is to guide my clients to learn various coping strategies to help them help themselves. I assist clients with building their toolkit to give them the necessary skills to help them better manage stress. I have experience helping children, teens and families through all different stages of life. As a part of the Insightful Paths Team, I am fully licensed in New York and able to serve any areas of NY by offering tele-health sessions. My approach to therapy is built around what works best for the client. I've worked with various ages in one-on-one or family sessions with focuses ranging from depression, anxiety, autism, ADHD, RAD (reactive attachment disorder), and ODD (oppositional defiant disorder). The therapeutic interventions I use are rooted in CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavior therapy), and art therapy. While some clients prefer art/games, others may prefer strictly talk-based interventions; while others may prefer a combination. I look forward to working together so we can reach your individual or family goals!

I am a clinical psychologist and have been in practice for over 20 years. I specialize in working with individuals and couples ages 18 years and older. I address a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, relationship/family dynamics and trauma, as well as stressors particular to the college and graduate school experience. My Interest in psychology is based in my wish to help people decrease their pain and expand their lives in ways that are important to them. I am described by my patients as a warm person who creates a safe environment through being respectful and sensitive to who you are: your personality, family, developmental and cultural history, other identities and the emotions you are experiencing. Psychodynamic and insight-oriented, I utilize a variety of techniques, especially Internal Family Systems (IFS), a therapeutic approach that is extremely effective for many issues and is known to be especially helpful with trauma recovery. IFS helps individuals, as well as couples, tease apart and learn about conflicting feelings or parts of themselves. Doing so improves one’s ability to feel better, function effectively and heal painful experiences from the recent and distant past. In couples work I also utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an attachment-based model that helps couples identify difficult cycles of interactions and recognize the needs, hurts and fears that underlie them. Partners emerge from this process feeling more connected with one another in meaningful, supportive and secure ways and are better able to communicate. Research has proven this to be a highly effective form of therapy. I have held positions at several university counseling centers including Fordham University where I was Assistant Director of Counseling and Psychological Services, The Graduate Center in New York City and Princeton University. College and graduate students have always been a significant part of my practice.
Hello! I am Jacqueline Treml and I've been a psychotherapist in the community for over 25 years. Although I specialize in Anxiety, OCD & Phobias, I also practice EMDR for trauma, as well as offering support around the full spectrum of issues including identity, relationships, depression, and issues around grief & loss. I have seen many students over the years who are struggling with perfectionism, self-doubt, intense anxiety and depression, and who are working out difficult relationship dynamics with family, friends, and intimate partners. I hope that by coming to therapy with me, you are offered a warm and comforting environment where we can look together at issues without judgment. I will try to offer you perspective and what wisdom I've gained over the years to help your life at Cornell be what you'd like it to be. I look forward to hearing from you.
When depression, anxiety, or trauma overshadows your thoughts, it can be difficult to even imagine how life could be different. Whether you are struggling with work-life balance, relationships, or life transitions, I offer new ways of thinking and a personalized treatment plan that empowers you to live your most meaningful life. I also have significant experience treating college students, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and people of color. I am a psychiatrist practicing in Philadelphia with virtual appointments available for patients in PA, NJ, and NY. In addition to prescribing medications, I incorporate multiple psychotherapy modalities to best suit your needs. I am also happy to collaborate with your existing therapist if your need at this time is primarily medication management. I graduated from Harvard College with High Honors in the Comparative Study of Religion and received my MD from Thomas Jefferson University with a certificate in clinical translational research. I completed my Adult Psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC. I also received additional psychotherapy training at NY Psychoanalytic Society & Institute. Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates is a network of about 25 Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and Psychotherapists who are academically oriented and practice evidence-based care. We treat anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. We additionally provide neuropsychological assessments for accommodations. Services include Psychiatric Evaluations, Medication Management and Psychotherapy. Patients can generally be seen within 2-3 weeks. We do not have admitting privileges at local hospitals, and therefore, if a patient is high risk for self-harm, is acutely suicidal or needing crisis intervention, has a history of inpatient psychiatric admissions, suicide attempts, or psychosis, we may recommend providers with additional emergency resources outside of our practice.
If you are located in NY and RI, I can provide you year-round teletherapy when you are at away at college and at home, as I am licensed in both states. I am a seasoned, experienced therapist, dedicated to helping my clients feel joy, hope, worthiness, and fulfillment. College can be a really difficult time and I am here to support you. My current clients see me as someone who is caring, calm, empathic, and goes the extra mile. I work hard to create a safe, trusting space where you can share freely. I am very experienced in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, trauma from a sexual assault or relationships violence, processing trauma from childhood, and current family boundary struggles, homesickness, feeling like your college is not the right fit, struggling to find your major/passion/career path, struggling around your sexuality or gender identity-or struggling with the many ways society/family makes it difficult to live out your authentic life, roommate struggles, struggles around making big life decisions during college, feeling like the "only" at your college related to race, or gender identity, sexuality or ethnicity or nationality, feeling lonely in college, and many more struggles that can make college challenging, and not what you hoped for or expected. These are just some of the struggles you might be experiencing in college, and I can help. I have a virtual-only practice. Even through the computer screen my clients report feeling that I am a warm, attentive, invested therapist. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you with whatever you are going through. Hi, I'm Dr. Franks! When I see students, I conduct an initial session where I provide a diagnosis (if present) and can recommend and provide medications and/or therapy for treatment. I enjoy working with students because their task to start living on their own and develop their own identity is uniquely challenging and exciting. I can help with the diagnosis and treatment of things like depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, psychosis, etc. Symptoms that my patients commonly struggle with include worry, sadness, suicidal thinking, stress, insomnia, and trouble concentrating. I am passionate about working with motivated students to help them thrive during their time in college. I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Denver, earning degrees in Biology, Chemistry, and French. I completed my medical and residency training at the University of Colorado, where I had the privilege of serving as Chief Resident. I have since worked in private practice. I look forward to working with you!
I understand the difficulties of navigating adulthood, college expectations, personal expectations and family obligations. I have years experience working with individuals who are struggling with life stressors and together we can explore the events which have you reaching out for help.
Life can feel overwhelming when you're carrying the weight of your personal identity, family expectations, or the impacts of generational trauma. You may find yourself caught between who you are and who others expect you to be, leading to feelings of stress, self-doubt, or disconnection. Many of my clients seek a space where all parts of their identity are seen and affirmed, while also working through challenges like anxiety, depression, family of origin issues, or difficult life transitions. Together, we focus on healing, resilience, and building a stronger sense of self. I provide a supportive, collaborative space grounded in trauma-informed and culturally responsive care. Drawing from relational, strengths-based, and evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, I help clients explore challenges, build resilience, and create change that feels authentic to who they are. I know it takes courage to seek support, and it's important to find someone who truly understands and respects you. My goal is to provide a safe and compassionate environment where you can feel seen, valued, and empowered to move forward in ways that feel right for you. If you're ready to begin this process, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

Life has many challenges. It's how you grow from your past that defines who you are in life. You may feel alone, misunderstood, and unfulfilled with your life or personal relationships. Perhaps you're having intense negative emotions. People typically enter therapy when they are in distress, although it's usually the long-term and underlying struggles that concern them the most. Initially, we will work quickly to address your immediate pain and provide relief. As therapy progresses, our focus may shift so you develop more positive and enriching relationships with yourself and others. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and compassionate environment where you can recognize your potential and live a meaningful life. I use evidenced-based therapy that focuses on the dynamics that impact your daily experience. We look for the behaviors, attitudes, and patterns that protected you in the past but no longer serve a purpose.
