As a psychologist, I partner with clients to help them heal from raw emotional pain, recognize their inner strengths, and build resiliency in the face of life’s biggest challenges. My style is one that is warm and nurturing while also direct and honest. If you’re feeling stuck, not good enough, lonely, overwhelmed, devastated, or ashamed, you are not alone. I have dedicated my career to learning gold standard treatments to ensure that when clients have the courage to reach out for help, I am able to offer treatment interventions that they can trust will make a difference. I am a clinical specialist with expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of trauma/PTSD, relationship issues, depression, complicated grief (suicide loss, perinatal loss), and unwanted sexual experiences (rape, sexual assault, harassment, violence). I began practicing in 2005 and have been a licensed psychologist since 2010.
I have worked with college and graduate students for many years. Many have struggled with issues including low self esteem, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, learning disabilities, family conflict and socialization difficulties. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques ranging from traditional “talk” therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR, as needed. My primary goal is always to help the student to feel better, by gaining greater insight and understanding as to better ways to address their situation.

Aimée understands that starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially in young adulthood, when life can feel overwhelming. Her approach is warm, gentle, and centered on curiosity—she asks the kinds of questions that help you uncover what’s really going on beneath the surface. Together, you’ll look at your thoughts and emotions, exploring your personal story in a way that feels safe and supportive. Aimée also focuses on practical tools to help you manage real-life challenges, like stress, anxiety, or tough relationships. She uses mindfulness and staying grounded in the present to help you feel more in control. Whether you’re dealing with depression, anxiety, attachment struggles, trauma, or something more complex, Aimée is here to guide you toward healing and growth at your own pace.

Hi, I'm Melissa! (she/her), and I am a Queer, Latinx, Cisgender, Therapist. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ & BIPOC communities and the mental health struggles that are unique to them. Many of the clients I work with come to therapy with a history of trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders and gender dysphoria. Some folx also struggle with low self esteem, body image issues, shame/guilt around sexuality and gender identity, difficulty connecting with others, motivation and other stressors such as work and home life. I provide a kind, non-judgemental, supportive environment for all my clients and work from an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, trauma-informed lense. My goal is to use the power of real human connection to build trust and empower my clients throughout the therapeutic process. Deciding to come to therapy is an awesome first step toward the inner healing you deserve. When you are ready, reach out so we can talk and find out if we are a good fit for one another. Come. As. You. Are. I look forward to meeting with you!
I see mental health as part of one's overall wellness. My approach focuses on having fewer negative emotions, and also on more positive emotions. I offer tools that research has demonstrated are very effective for reducing suffering. I also assist you in seeing meaningful, practical change by compassion, warmth, and empathy with a bit of humor. However, there is no cookie-cutter approach. We work together, openly, to customize your treatment directly to your needs and strengths. I frequently work with POCs, high-achieving students and professionals, folks in major transitions, and those coping with imposter syndrome, perfectionism, procrastination, and worrying. I have a particular skill in working with women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals and people new to therapy and welcome your questions!
