I help folks ages 18+ in NY, CT, OR, and FL who are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationships, and life transitions. I am a compassionate and nonjudgmental therapist who prioritizes creating a space in which my clients feel “held,” heard, and helped. My approach is personalized, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. My practice is strengths-based, trauma-informed, and utilizes a range of techniques including awareness of sensations in the body, narrative interventions, cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapies, and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy. I believe everyone has the capacity to heal and that meaningful transformations take place in the context of safe and supportive relationships, when we feel seen, understood, and accepted unconditionally. Together, we will process your thoughts, feelings, and experiences to reduce suffering and increase joy, fulfillment, and success. The bottom line: I meet you where you are—with patience, warmth, kindness, and insight. I will assist in identifying and strengthening your own inner resources and wisdom, so we can work more effectively with challenges and pain on the road to a more satisfying life. You don’t have to do this alone.
Whether you are living in physical pain or emotional pain, we will work together to help you sleep better, decrease pain, improve relationships, get "unstuck" and feel happier. One of our greatest goals as clinicians is treating you with the support and care you deserve. We not only want to help you feel better, we want to help you live better and move out of negative patterns of behavior that do not serve you. We work from an integrative perspective, meaning that we have been trained in a wide variety of psychological techniques and will combine them to help you achieve your goals. We will teach you to use the tools that help you most, so that you can continue to work with these techniques on your own, once you have completed therapy. And that sense of independence and control you gain over your own life, that will feel truly fulfilling!

I want to be your partner in holistic Wellness. When we break a bone or become sick, we seek medical treatment. That the same care and attention should be given to our mental health. I believe that therapy is not just about addressing mental health issues—it's about nurturing the whole self, mind, body, and spirit. Therapy also looks different for everyone because our lives are shaped by our experiences, emotions, and somatic responses to everyday life. As your therapist, I will guide you with authenticity and warmth, helping you navigate your unique therapeutic journey.
I am a clinical psychologist with 8 years of experience. I primarily work from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) framework. Together, we’ll clarify what is most important to you, identify your life goals, and strategize ways to reduce your suffering while moving you closer to those goals. I also integrate CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. My approach is transparent, intersectional, and above all: human. All of your identities are welcome here, so let’s talk about how your mental health intersects with race, gender, sexuality, spirituality, and all the other parts that make you, you. I specialize in working with clients (16+) who identify across the spectrums of gender and sexual orientation, and families who want to learn how to be more supportive of their loved ones. My (virtual) therapy room is a safe/brave space for anyone whose identity tends to be excluded from society. I offer individual, couples, and family therapy via telehealth. I also provide supervision, consultation, and workshops around topics of diversity and mental health. To learn more and see if we might be a good fit, reach out for a free consultation. Please note: I am not in network with any medicaid ("community plan") or medicare plans. I am in network only with the commercial insurances noted in this profile. Referrals with United Healthcare Community Plan (Medicaid) will be referred back to the counseling center for an alternate referral.

I feel that I am relaxed, laid back, and a good listener.

You can count on me to be reliable, truthful, and kind. My approach to therapy recognizes the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship. I identify as queer and specialize in working with members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community. I am an affirming practitioner. My therapeutic approach is culturally informed and integrates a whole-person perspective along with socio-cultural/political awareness and acknowledgement of the impact of systemic barriers on functioning. I’m a licensed psychotherapist specializing in the treatment of addiction and trauma. Much of my work has included working with adolescents, adults and families who are challenged by anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. In addition, I have experience working with the LGTBQ community, life coaching, and eating disorders. Believing you are the expert in your life my hope is to act as a beacon of light on a path that sometimes goes dark. My success in treating clients stems from my approach which is straight forward and solution-focused to help clients move forward rather than staying stuck in their challenge areas. To my future clients: In Harry Potter, Prisoner of Azkaban, Dumbledore says ‘Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light. ‘”
With over a decade of experience in behavioral health, crisis intervention, and psychiatric and medical social work, I bring both clinical expertise and genuine compassion to the therapy process. My approach is collaborative, solution-focused, and always rooted in respect for you and your own unique experiences. I work with adults and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, chronic stress, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, burnout, self-esteem issues, substance use concerns, and women's issues. I also enjoy working with other healthcare professionals and caregivers; people who spend so much of their time caring for others, that they forget how to care for themselves. Clients often tell me they appreciate having a therapist who is warm, approachable, and easy to talk to- all while helping to move beyond insight into meaningful action.
