At Thrive Family Therapy, we're dedicated to guiding you through life's challenges, whether they stem from personal traumas, a quest for clarity about your past, or the complexities of marriage, parenthood, and personal dreams. A therapist that’s warm, direct, and deeply curious. Maybe you grew up in an environment where you had to stay on guard. Maybe you've experienced abuse, violence, betrayal, loss, or events that changed the way you see yourself, other people, and the world around you. Over time, those experiences affect us and change us in ways that last longer than the experience itself. You might find yourself stuck in patterns that once helped you survive but now get in the way of the life you want. You may struggle with anxiety, depression, self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, or a constant sense that you're carrying more than everyone else seems to be. The good news is that these patterns make sense. They developed for a reason. The question isn't "What's wrong with me? " The question is "What happened to me — and what do I want to do with that story now?" Navigating that answer is the work we do together.
Do you need guidance navigating difficult emotions, past trauma, family and life transitions. Are you someone who struggles with depression or anxiety, connection to others, or could use a neutral perspective and someone to talk to? Everyone wants to feel safe and supported while going through challenges. I work with teens and young adults to explore different ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving to increase self-awareness and improve functioning. My therapeutic approach involves acceptance and non-judgment. I use interventions that foster natural strengths, and work in collaboration with clients to build skills aligned with their specific needs, capabilities, and goals. Clients gain valuable tools rooted in evidenced based practice, that aim to explore root causes of distress and develop resiliency. Confronting personal difficulties is not easy and I approach counseling with compassion, empathy, confidentiality and trust. Together we can create new coping strategies, positive social connections, self-esteem and confidence in a safe, non-judgmental environment.
Are you worrying too much or anxious about school, social situations, new demands? Do you have intrusive thoughts or rituals you wish that you didn't have to perform? Are you looking for help in balancing school, relationships, work, family? Are you wondering if you chose the wrong major or nearing graduation and wondering where to go from here? I may be able to help. I break concrete solutions into small mangageable steps so that you can feel in control of your thoughts, moods, behaviors and life again.

I offer therapy that's largely integrative, pulling from several different theories and adapting my approach to best fit the identities, needs, and style of each client. My goal is to create a therapeutic environment in which my clients can feel both supported and challenged. Having a space to share vulnerably and work on personal growth and healing is a great opportunity, but it's also very hard work! Since I ask my clients to show up vulnerably, I try to do the same, bringing my authentic self to the room. I look forward to conversations about how our similarities and differences impact our work. I frequently work with survivors of trauma, provide letters of support for gender affirming healthcare, discuss neurodiversity, and help clients explore their sexual and/or gender identity. I have specialized training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, OCD, as well as disordered eating and body image concerns. I work from a non-dieting, health at every size paradigm. I view therapy as a collaborative process, one that depends largely on the relationship built between client and therapist. I offer free, brief phone consultations to discuss goodness of fit and answer any questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you!

Many of the students I work best with are navigating big transitions—adjusting to college or grad school, balancing academics with athletics, managing relationships, or figuring out what comes next. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or unsure of how to move forward. Some students come to me struggling with stress, burnout, or motivation, while others are working through challenges like past trauma, substance use, or relationship patterns that no longer serve them. I have a particular interest in supporting student-athletes and individuals dealing with performance pressure, identity, and the unique demands of competitive environments. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in old patterns and want to create meaningful, lasting change. In our work together, I focus on creating a space where you can be open, honest, and fully yourself without judgment. Therapy with me is collaborative—we’ll work as a team to better understand what’s going on and develop practical tools that fit your life. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and equipped to handle challenges now and in the future.
Meaningful change happens when we are truly seen and understood. My approach is flexible, non-pathologizing, and interactive. I work from a humanistic, relational perspective, and I aim to create a safe, welcoming space where you are genuinely cared for and respected. I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship, rooted in empathic understanding and curiosity. I integrate IFS, EMDR, Mindfulness, Somatic Psychology, Psychodynamic therapy, and CBT, tailoring the approach to what feels most supportive for you. I trust your inner wisdom, and my role is to help you reconnect with it as a collaborative partner in your process - compassionately, transparently, and without judgment.
Each client comes with unique struggles and with unique hopes and longings in the search for meaning, relatedness, healing, creativity, and growth. We all have a life to live. When that life is stymied - by inside forces or outside events - you might feel stuck or lonely, experience anxiety, depression, anger, grief, chronic pain, or restlessness. You might also struggle with life changes, illness, stale relationship patterns, addictions or spiritual issues. My aim is to get to know you well and help you develop a conscious, vital relationship with the powerful forces that seek life and growth and with those that get in your way. My work is influenced by Jungian depth psychology. This perspective seeks to discover unknown or forgotten parts of self that serve as powerful resources for healing and growth. Mindful attention to dreams, emotion, body, and imagination help us to locate sources of suffering and to listen to what inside might want to be found and more fully lived. My style is interactive and relational, my aim to engage whatever you bring. I enjoy adults of all ages, people diverse in gender, culture, socio-economic background, and spiritual beliefs. Therapy can be short-term or longer depending on individual needs. I look forward to being part of your path toward health, integration, and vitality.

Find Your Balance. Discover Your Voice. Be a work in progress. College can be exciting—but also overwhelming. Whether you’re navigating new independence, academic pressure, relationship changes, or figuring out who you want to be in the world, therapy can give you the tools and space to grow. I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience helping people make sense of their inner world. My approach blends logic and curiosity (thanks to my background in Philosophy) with a deep respect for how our emotions, body, and even the unconscious shape our daily lives. You might find us exploring your thoughts through Socratic dialogue, diving into dreamwork, connecting with symbols and stories like The Hero’s Journey, or looking at how your brain makes decisions from a neuro-economics perspective. If you’re ready to explore not just *what* you’re feeling, but *why*, and learn how to bring your hidden patterns into the light, I’ll walk alongside you—helping you meet yourself with more clarity, compassion, and confidence.
