We all look for empathy, understanding, and connection in our lives and relationships. When moving through the world with a non-dominant identity, it can be difficult to find acceptance, confidence and a sense of belonging. As a biracial Chamoru woman, I have been navigating these struggles throughout my life. I hope to work with others who are looking to cultivate relationships with their core identities, while navigating the challenges related to systems of oppression. My clients often identify as people of color, LGBTQ+, disabled, and/or chronically ill, as well as part of nerd, geek or techie communities. I work best with clients who are looking to build a warm, trusting, and collaborative counseling relationship. Relationships can be powerful and I believe that healing begins with feeling that you are being genuinely heard and cared for. If you think we may be a good fit, I warmly encourage you to reach out! I provide a free consultation appointment where we can get to know each other and assess your needs. Currently, I only offer online counseling to Oregon residents.

My clinical approach is multi-disciplinary and rooted in psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, and humanistic psychology. I also have a background in integrative health and wellness, which can contribute to a more in-depth perspective on treatment. In addition, my work is relational and informed by the belief and the research that the essence of therapy is the relationship between the client and the therapist. It is this relationship that can encourage true and thorough transformation. My style is genuine, collaborative, interpersonal, direct, and non-judgemental, and I encourage clients to be true to themselves and transparent. Although treatment is based on an individual's needs and goals, primary objectives in treatment are to help clients (re)connect to their confidence and curiosity and to reinforce their capacity and resiliency.
I have worked with a large range of college students from all walks of life, and I enjoy working with this population. I find that my practice is most effective for those who are mostly ready to engage deeply with their own needs for growth and change. I work best with students who are expressive and willing to be open about the challenges they are facing. If you are someone who is ready to show up to work on the things that are most important to you, we will be a great match. Together, we will focus on finding your own solutions for living and ways to buff the resilience needed to navigate the unique pressures of campus life, academic stress, and personal transitions. To make support as accessible as possible for busy student schedules, I provide all services via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. This allows you to engage in meaningful, private sessions from the comfort of your own space, whether you are between classes or at home. Ready to start? I invite you to reach out for an initial consultation to see how we can work together toward your goals.
I primarily work with post-trauma: survivors of sexual assault, child abuse, racism, sexism, LGBTQ+ phobias, and the other traumas of living as a unique person.

My approach is collaborative, direct, and grounded in respect. I believe mental health treatment works best when patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care. I strive to create a supportive environment where clients can openly discuss their struggles without judgment while building practical tools for long-term healing and resilience. Working with college ages and young adults is one of my favorite parts of practicing. Over the years I’ve helped students through applying to different colleges and universities, choosing the best school, choosing a major, to preparing for graduation. College can be stressful and I encourage clients to create a balance with academics and recreational activities to protect against burnout and feeling overwhelmed. Living independently for the first time is a big transition and sometimes it’s helpful to have extra support as you navigate this new phase of life.
