“The path isn’t a straight line; it’s a spiral. You continually come back to things you thought you understood and see deeper truths.” ~ Barry H. Gillespie My approach is holistic, somatic, compassionate, and collaborative. Somatic psychotherapy allows you to get to the root of your concerns. While traditional talk therapy can be helpful, therapists and healers are realizing the importance of including the body into the therapy process. By blending somatic practices based in the Hatha yoga tradition, you will come to a better understanding of how to regulate your nervous system, and therefore find relief, ease, and strength. As a LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I am deeply passionate about working with clients who are a part of the community. My specialties include: addiction, trauma/C-PTSD, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, ecological despair/anxiety, religious trauma, Women’s issues, HSP (highly sensitive persons), and bipolar/borderline. I also offer outdoor ecotherapy as a way to deeper connect to yourself and the natural world.

My name is Taylor and I am a licensed clinical social worker in Philly. I have been in the mental health field and an individual therapist for over 5 years and have experience working with folks of all different backgrounds and identities. I'm trained in several trauma treatments (Prolonged Exposure and DBT-PE), however haven't provided these via telehealth yet - though it's something I'm willing to explore if you are! Working with college and graduate students is something I'm passionate about because I know how difficult it can be to go through life's transitions, not know who you are and who you want to be, and balance school, friends, and work. Whether you're just out of high school, returning from some time off, or changing careers, I'm here to support you through those life transitions. While most of my availability is in the evenings, I can be flexible and offer time during a lunch break or weekends, if needed. Being a student is a tough time of transition. There are alot of feelings that are swirling around, along with having to "stay on top of all of your academics and/or sports". For many students, it is the first time living without parents/guardians. You have to deal with faculty, and manage expectations from others as well as yourself. College life can be fun, but at the same time very stressful! Sometimes the stress causes other problems to pop up that you have not had to deal with before, or perhaps you did, but on a manageable level. Counseling can be an opportunity to talk through alot of these frustrations, and challenges. It can be a time to also find out about other resources in the world that can be helpful. Either way, it is YOUR time to figure out what would be helpful, and to get it! Reach out to Rays of Hope, we are eager to assist you during this time! PLEASE NOTE: I ALSO have office hours in Bala Cynwyd, Pa. which is right outside of Phila. near City Line Avenue.
