It takes courage to begin this process, and I’m honored to walk with you as you navigate whatever brought you here, at your own pace and in your own way. I specialize in working with clients experiencing stress, anxiety, grief, or life transitions, and are looking for a space where they don’t have to explain or translate who they are. They want to feel a genuine sense of belonging — not just in therapy, but in the world. These clients value connection, emotional safety, and authenticity. When the time feels right for you, I’ll be here and ready to support you. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), emphasizing practical strategies, emotional understanding, and meaningful progress. While these frameworks guide my work, I recognize that each person is unique—so I tailor every session to align with your individual needs, values, and goals. As a counselor, I’m deeply committed to creating a supportive and inclusive space where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered. My passion for mental and emotional well-being drives me to walk alongside clients with empathy and respect, helping them navigate challenges, build resilience, and move toward a more fulfilling and balanced life. In our work together, I strive to create a space that feels safe, respectful, and collaborative. My communication style is warm, direct, and grounded in empathy. I take a person-centered approach, which means I listen without judgment and honor your experiences, values, and goals. At the same time, I draw from solution-focused techniques to help you identify strengths, gain clarity, and move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.

College can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. You may be balancing classes, work, relationships, family expectations, finances, or trying to figure out who you are and what comes next. If you're feeling anxious, emotionally drained, stuck, or carrying the weight of everything on your own, you're not alone. ICS Therapy provides telehealth services for individuals living in Texas, Colorado, and Florida. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, process what you're experiencing, and build practical tools to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence. At True North ATX Counseling, I help teens and young adults who feel anxious, stuck, or unsure of their direction find clarity and confidence. Many of my clients are figuring out who they are, managing school stress, navigating relationships, or trying to break free from perfectionism and self-doubt. My approach is warm, supportive, and down-to-earth—I use humor often, because sometimes laughter helps us see things more clearly and makes the hard stuff a little easier to face. I work best with women who are navigating major life transitions and feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of themselves. Many of my clients are in seasons like pregnancy, postpartum, early motherhood, or adjusting to shifting roles and identities. They may struggle with anxiety, mood changes, emotional overwhelm, or feeling like they’ve lost a sense of who they are. My clients often care deeply about their families but feel exhausted trying to hold everything together. They may feel unseen, invalidated, or alone in their experiences. They want a space where they can be honest without judgment and begin to understand themselves more clearly. If you’re looking for support that feels compassionate, grounded, and focused on helping you reconnect with yourself, you’re likely a great fit for my practice.

I'm Lara, and I help overwhelmed moms who are carrying it all — the emotions, the decisions, the schedules, the invisible weight that no one else seems to see. If you’re feeling anxious, exhausted, and like you’ve lost yourself somewhere in the chaos of motherhood, you’re not alone — and you don’t have to keep doing this alone, either. As an LPC and mom of three, I deeply understand what it’s like to feel stretched thin, emotionally drained, and unseen. My work centers on helping women navigate the mental load of motherhood, find space to breathe, and reconnect with themselves. You don’t have to explain why you’re tired. You’ll be met with compassion, curiosity, and strategies that meet you exactly where you are. I hold Master’s degrees in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and I’ve spent years helping women move through some of the hardest, most tender seasons of their lives. You’ve been showing up for everyone else — now it’s time for someone to show up for you

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you're carrying stress, uncertainty, or emotional pain. My goal working with clients is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel seen, understood, and valued just as you are. I work with clients who are navigating life, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, identity exploration, etc. I take a strengths-based, relational approach to therapy, meaning I focus not only on the difficulties you're facing, but also on the resilience, insight, and abilities you already bring into the room. Together, we build on those strengths to foster growth, healing, and meaningful change. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection. I prioritize developing a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe to explore their experiences at their own pace. I meet you where you are at! As someone who is half Turkish, I also value cultural identity, background, and lived experiences as essential parts of the therapeutic process. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply seeking greater self-understanding, therapy can be a place to find that and I would be honored to support you in that.

You’re the strong one — the responsible one — the one who learned early how to hold it together. You navigate different spaces, code-switching when needed, carrying family expectations while trying to build relationships that feel healthy and secure. You’re self-aware, but old attachment patterns still show up. You’re ready to understand what shaped you and create connection that feels safe, mutual, and authentic. I provide trauma-informed, attachment-focused therapy for Black and Brown Millennials and Gen Z adults and couples. Using EMDR and relational therapy, we process generational and relational wounds so you can shift patterns at their root — not just manage the symptoms. You don’t have to keep carrying everything alone. Many of your patterns were learned for survival — they make sense. Therapy offers space to unlearn what no longer serves you and build something healthier. If you’re ready for intentional, culturally responsive depth work, I invite you to reach out.

Many people start thinking about therapy because, emotionally, they don’t feel good. Maybe your emotions end up taking you for a ride and you feel helpless to stop it. Emotions come and go, but they can sometimes feel endless, especially if they are intense. Or maybe you are struggling to get in touch with your emotions and you find it difficult to connect. Either way, what ends up making it worse is the power struggle we get into with our own emotions. We want to push away the ones that feel bad and force the ones that feel good, but that never works for long. Wouldn’t it be easier to avoid the power struggle completely?
