Hello! My name Dr. Bryce Kamron Davis, Ph.D., I am a postdoctoral resident in Psychology. I’m deeply passionate about helping people navigate their mental health journey and move in a direction that supports their goals! When working with me you can expect someone who is laid back, engaged, and authentic. During our sessions we will explore connections, patterns, and experiences that have guided you to therapy, while also gaining skills, a deeper connection to self, and healing. I have the most experience with treating depression, anxiety, daily stress, academic stress, burnout, relational difficulties (friends, families, partners), social isolation, ADHD, identity exploration, and identify based stress and trauma (e.g. racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.). I have the most experience working with individuals who are LGBTQ+, People of Color, and/or neurodivergent. I also provide psychological evaluations for learning disorders, ADHD, and readiness for gender affirming medical interventions. If you’re curious about what therapeutic modalities inform our work together, I integrate theory and practice primarily from Person-Center Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, while also pulling in tools and resources from Emotion Focused Therapy, Interpersonal/Relational Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Coherence Therapy. A little bit about myself outside of the therapy office, I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. I have lived in Houston, Texas since August 2025, following the completion of my doctoral internship in Reno, Nevada. In my free time I enjoy traveling, museums, comedy shows, Pokemon, anime, movies, art exhibits, and rest/relaxation. When I’m not doing any of those things, you will likely find me doing community service with my fraternity around Houston! I earned by Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri. During my doctoral internship at the University of Nevada – Reno I completed emphases in multicultural counseling and community engagement, and theoretical applications of DBT to general mental health populations.

Howdy! My name is A.B. and I’m a queer, nonbinary therapist born and raised right here in Texas. Don’t let the folksy exterior fool you: growing up in a small town taught me to treat strangers like family, to uplift and respect the folks around me, and, as my granddad always said, “If you can help ’em, then help ’em.” I’ve brought those values into my therapy work and left the bigotry and systemic oppression behind like the hogwash it is. I practice from a place of cultural humility, guided by the stories, strengths, and values my clients bring to the table. You’re the expert on your life, I’m just here to walk alongside you, bringing the tools I’ve got in my toolbelt to help you navigate whatever’s weighing you down. There’s nothing too big we can’t face together, and I trust that with you in the lead, we can work toward the outcomes you’re hoping for in therapy. I specialize in supporting clients through trauma, grief, mood disorders, LGBTQ+ issues, neurodivergence, identity exploration, crisis recovery, and relationship challenges. I also love working with children and their families around emotional regulation, school and family stress, and communication. I’ve got a soft spot for neurodivergent kids (and adults!) and bring a lot of energy and creativity into that work. In session, I pull from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused, narrative, and collaborative therapies, plus a lot more. So don’t be surprised if I throw in a little art-making, somatic work, or IFS (parts work) now and then. I’m committed to being a lifelong learner, and if something isn’t clicking, I’ll work with you to find what does. I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University in 2023, and before that, I got my B.A. in Theatre Education. So I’m definitely open to getting creative in sessions, though just plain talkin’ is great, too. Outside of therapy, I love baking, storytelling in all its forms (theatre, concerts, poetry slams, and tabletop RPGs), and learning about folks whose lives are different from mine. I also enjoy spending time with my partner and our beloved pets Pip, Charlie, and Winston. If you think I might be the right counselor for you, I’d be honored to meet you. Feel free to email me at ab@vadacounseling.com or schedule a free consultation online.

I am a board certified psychiatrist and provide combined psychotherapy and medication treatment. My patients are typically looking for therapy to address concerns such as stress, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. They are also often looking for support with evidence-based medication treatment. I listen carefully to understand the difficulties that bring someone to treatment and to understand their goals. I am collaborative in my approach. I approach psychotherapy from a psychodynamic perspective, where the goal is to increase understanding and insight into thoughts, feelings, and behavior. When we can understand ourselves better, we can then change patterns that may be getting in our way. This type of therapy can often lead to lasting change. Please note that because my practice is telehealth only, I do not prescribe controlled substances (for example, stimulants for ADHD or medications such as Xanax or Ativan for anxiety).

College can be one of the most exciting seasons of life — but also one of the most overwhelming. Between academic pressure, anxiety, relationships, family expectations, burnout, and trying to “have it all together,” many students silently struggle while appearing fine on the outside. I provide a supportive, judgment-free space where college students can pause, breathe, and focus on their mental wellness without pressure or shame. My approach is warm, relatable, and collaborative, helping students build healthy coping skills, improve self-confidence, manage stress, and navigate life transitions with clarity and balance. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, self-esteem challenges, or simply feeling emotionally exhausted, you don’t have to carry it alone. Therapy can be a place where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to thrive both personally and academically.

College is exciting! It can also be terrifying, overwhelming, and lonely. Even if you have your educational and career path chosen and locked in. For most young adults, it's their first time living independently and truly stepping into this thing called adulthood. There is a new level of responsibility that can feel like it's too much. Do you find yourself feeling anxious before classes or social events that are supposed to be THE thing in college? Maybe you're finding it harder and harder to get out of bed, go to work, complete your assignments, or to even hang out with friends. You may find yourself questioning your choices about any and everything, including school. Finding who you are as a young adult, independent of your family can be daunting. On the other side of the college journey is preparing to graduate and step into the professional world. All of these experiences are likely to bring up stress and conflicting emotions within you. In our work together you will find a safe and affirming place to explore who you are, what you want and where you're going. You will learn ways to recognize, honor and manage your feelings in ways that are inline with your values. You will be able to talk about the hard stuff, while also finding moments of humor in this ride we call life. Are you ready to feel more in control of your feelings and more confident as you step into the next phase of life? Reach out to me and let's do this!

LET’S BE HONEST: Existing between worlds is exhausting. Co-existing in multiple worlds and cultures doesn’t come with a roadmap. The competing demands and expectations leave you feeling tugged in opposing directions, and you’re left with the feeling that no matter how hard you try, you’ll never be enough for anyone. Even though there are many people in your life, it feels like nobody from any ‘side’ really gets you, and you’re not sure where you truly belong. You’re tired of facing microaggressions when you’re out and about and obstacles to advancing at work. All this is impacting your relationship, where you’re struggling to communicate and feel a sense of togetherness across the divides.

You are here for a reason, and we are all in this battle together. In other words, connected. We need to work together in an effort to get each person through. Therapy is about the journey to the destination. Whether you are someone who's been dealing with depression, anxiety, personality complexes, behavioral challenges, intrusive thoughts, or irregular emotions, substance abuse, trauma, treatment can be the first step in healing. I strive to create a safe space that allows you to explore your current and past self. I firmly believe that everyone deserves to live wholeheartedly in the present, which is why I will work with you to identify and overcome any negative and overwhelming feelings and/or thoughts. The goal of recovery is always in our sights, we can develop effective coping skills, mindfulness and meditation practices, calmness and relaxation techniques, and resilience training using strengths perspective to achieve optimal health. It may seem too difficult to get to the other side, but you have been brave to get to this point, and I want to hear your story and help you to a better day-to-day life. My passion is counseling and I love to be with clients in their journey to find the path they want to be on so I hope you will let me get to know you and help you. You may be seeking therapy after a breakup, sudden loss, or overwhelming life experience — especially if you’re someone who is thoughtful, self-aware, and used to functioning at a high level. You understand your anxiety, trauma, or relationship patterns intellectually, yet when something triggers you, your body and emotions react in ways you can’t think you're way out of. Insight alone hasn’t brought the relief you expected. You need a different kind of support. I'll help you find change beyond talk therapy. We can work together in weekly sessions or extended EMDR intensives for accelerated healing-especially when weekly therapy feels too slow or life doesn’t allow for a long-term pace. EMDR helps the brain & body process what’s still “stuck,” so triggers lose their intensity and old patterns no longer run the show. If you’re ready to explore whether therapy with me or an EMDR intensive can help you feel real relief, schedule a free consultation call. I typically respond within 1 business day & we’ll start by talking through what you’re hoping for and whether this feels like a good fit. In-person sessions in East Dallas & online therapy in TX, FL, LA, and VA.
