My mission is to foster healing, growth, and a strong sense of self in each of my clients. I am dedicated to creating a therapeutic space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to thrive. My therapeutic approach is integrative and holistic. I pull techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help build coping strategies and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to enhance mindfulness and emotion regulation. And, as a former Registered Behavior Technician, I use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to teach behavior modification strategies. I am a music lover, avid reader, and proud member of the Atlanta Jewish community. I am a “lifelong” camper, attending overnight summer camp as both a camper and staff member for over ten years. Before pursuing my Masters in Social Work at UGA, I worked as a fourth grade teaching assistant and a behavioral therapist for children with severe autism.

I think it can be normal to find therapy awkward, uncomfortable, or anxiety provoking, especially at first, and so it is really important to me to help create a space that can be tailored to support you as much as possible. I collaborate with you to uncover what you value, the person you would like to move towards being, and together we create a path that helps you move in the direction you would like to go. I use an integrative, client-led and trauma-informed approach that blends complementary therapeutic modalities to hold space for both your mind and body in sessions. The heart of which is a desire to understand you, to invite in curiosity, and to help support you in embodying your potential. Empathy and compassion play a big role in this as well as a little laughter. I will also lean into activation, discomfort, and challenging you at times. This is done with the explicit understanding this is your place to let me know when it is too much, when it is a “no”, or when I’ve mis-attuned. I use a feedback-informed approach to learn how to better support you. Feel free to visit my website to learn more about my specialties and the therapeutic approaches I use. I'm happy to answer any questions. I look forward to connecting!
It takes courage and self-compassion to embrace vulnerability. As a therapist working with children, adolescents, and young adults, I strive to create a haven of unconditional positive regard that welcomes and values the whole person. My therapeutic approach is rooted in person-centered and attachment-based theories. I emphasize authentic, caring, empathetic, supportive, and collaborative connections. If you're navigating complex and challenging thoughts, feelings, or life experiences, I invite you to continue your journey of exploration and self-discovery with me. Together, we can explore and adjust pathways to develop safe and secure connections with yourself and others. I believe that healing, growth, and change are possible for everyone, both from within ourselves and through experiencing a genuine sense of belonging. Through connection, my hope is to invite and encourage a space for us to explore in depth the underlying challenges that may be causing current pain and stress. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in Children's and Adolescent Counseling. I have five years of experience working with children and adolescents in the mental health field, working as a registered behavior technician (RBT) at an ABA clinic, a Family Case Manager at the Indianapolis Department of Child Services, and a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Specialist in an elementary school setting. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, young professionals, and adults experiencing interpersonal intricacies, life transitions, executive functioning difficulties, self-esteem and self-image issues, and multicultural identity exploration and formation. I integrate a variety of theoretical orientations in sessions depending on each person's specific needs, such as narrative therapy, internal family systems, cognitive-behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, and attachment theory. I work under the direct clinical supervision of Drew Phillips, LMFT, and the clinical direction of Meg McLeroy, LMFT.

I approach therapy through a cognitive, culturally sensitive, and mindfulness based lens. I utilize EMDR to help process trauma and other negative emotions stored in the body. I have completed EMDR basic training under Deany Laliotis, LICSW and am working toward my full EMDR certification under the consultation of Dr. Pegah Moghaddam, PsyD. I work with clients experiencing a myriad of clinical concerns including depression, anxiety, life transitions, and grief. Additionally, I have a passion for working with individuals overcoming complex trauma, including sexual abuse. Some of my other clinical experiences include working with substance use, HIV/AIDS, eating disorders, and suicidal ideation. Many of my clients are seeking out culturally sensitive care, where their identities are given the space to be seen and heard. During our time together we will work on building awareness of thought patterns, beliefs, and narratives that no longer serve you. I believe we all have the power to re-write unhelpful narratives, challenge negative thoughts, and transform our lives.
Trying to deal with chronic health conditions and/or pain while also getting a degree is hard - sometimes frustratingly hard. I provide you with the tools you need to manage the stress of school while also taking care of your body in a way that doesn't leave you feeling exhausted and depleted. I work under the direction of Joy Johnson LCSW and the supervision of Pegge Riley LPC CPCS.

It can be one of the most difficult steps to make that first phone call for therapy. Typically, we are making that call when life feels the most stressful or when we are feeling at our most vulnerable. I strive to support the courage, strength, and determination involved in seeking support. Described by clients as caring, supportive, and warm, I believe each person possesses innate skills and strengths that can be utilized within therapy. I value strengths-based, person-in-environment, cognitive-behavioral, and motivational therapeutic approaches to support each individual’s intrinsic worth and value. I love working with adults, couples, and families to explore difficulties in coping emotionally, breaking the cycle of addiction or substance use, balancing life stressors, establishing self-esteem, setting healthy boundaries, and maintaining healthy relationships. I strive to help you find your voice, offer new coping skills, and explore presenting concerns within a non-judgmental and warm environment. Think we might be a good fit? VIRTUAL THERAPY SESSIONS VIA ZOOM ADDED DUE TO COVID-19. LGBTQIA friendly. My practice is centered around human issues. Positive relationships are challenging to build. Whether its parent/child, husband/wife, wife/wife, husband/husband or any other combination. My goal is to increase communication, understanding and knowledge between people in order to create positive and productive growth. We will focus on barriers and obstacles that may be keeping us from living our best lives, and work together on mapping out a plan for success. As our society becomes more accepting of alternative relationships, the need for added support has increased. I offer that space where individuals can feel comfortable in knowing they are accepted. I am a fully licensed counselor focusing on sexual issues. This ranges from communication to sexual dysfunction and a variety of topics in between. Giving a voice to individuals who may be afraid to be heard is empowering and fulfilling. No one should be afraid to be happy and for me, it is my passion to be uplifting to all. My practice is based on the West side of Atlanta, but I have various satellite options around the city.
Hello! I am a certified EMDR counselor for trauma and anxiety. If you're struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, grief/loss, or life transitions, I know how hard it can be to take the next step toward happiness and living authentically. I work with you to provide a safe place to meet your goals and live the life you would if nothing held you back.
If you are LGBTQ+, polyamorous, kinky, or exploring your identity, it can be exhausting to live in a world that barely tolerates, much less affirms, every part of you. If you feel like you are drowning under the pressure of today’s demands, how are you supposed to find the energy to work on your goals, learn who you are, or take time to enjoy life? You may currently feel alone, unloved, or like you don’t deserve happiness. You might find yourself numb and in emotional pain, wishing people could see and understand your real self. You’re ready to get help, and you want a therapist that specializes in clients like you. I am a gay, transgender clinician dedicated to providing individual therapy to Georgia’s gender, sexuality, and relationship structure minority communities. I am passionate about my community and filling the gap in mental health care many of us experience. My services are also sex-positive, weight-inclusive, neurodiverse-friendly, and culturally-affirming. I offer both in-person and online sessions for your convenience and accessibility. Clients that work with me appreciate positive, gentle masculinity paired with the occasional dad joke. Check out my website for more information about me, or email me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation.
My mission is to provide a non-judgmental space for us to work towards reaching your goals. My approach to therapy is spiritually and culturally sensitive. Clients find me to be empathetic, honest and easy to talk to. Victims of narcissists, co-dependency, self-esteem, anxiety, and relationship issues are areas of particular focus. Using Gottman Methods and Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, I will be a guide by your side helping you to understand what has happened in your relationship, whether it can be repaired, and if so, how. I use Prepare-Enrich research-based program for engaged couples and Discernment Counseling for couples considering divorce or separation.
I support undergraduate and graduate students who feel stuck and are looking to build a life that feels more meaningful, intentional, and authentic. The college years are full of immense pressure and profound changes, and it's completely normal to feel overwhelmed by it all. Many of the students I work with are trying to navigate anxiety, depression, men’s issues, or ADHD in a high-stakes academic environment. Others are dealing with existential distress - asking big questions about their major, their future, and who they are - or trying to manage the massive life transition of living away from home. Sometimes, the coping mechanisms that got you through high school, including maladaptive ones like avoidance or substance use, just aren't as helpful anymore. My approach to therapy is relational and humanistic. While I use evidence-based techniques, I believe the relationship we build is the most important part of the work. I look beyond clinical labels to understand your unique experience. Think of me as a partner on your journey rather than an observer analyzing you from afar. If you’re feeling weighed down, it’s okay if you don't know exactly what to say. You don’t need a perfectly clear story to start therapy. Reach out to see if we’d work well together. If we aren't the right match, I will gladly help connect you with someone else.
