As a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker, I’m here to support you in discovering, redefining, and healing from your experiences. Whether it is a life transition, relationship conflict, stress, or all of the above, I am here to help. I love to listen to and empower my clients to achieve their personal goals and develop greater wellness. I believe that trust, authenticity, and openness create a strong therapeutic relationship and make therapy effective. Together we can find solutions and develop skills to navigate life’s twists and turns. I specialize in working with individuals who have struggled with multiple mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, and trauma. My therapy approaches include Person-Centered, Strengths-Based Perspective, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). However, there is no one-size fits all approach to therapy; the services I provide are always tailored to fit my client’s goals. If you are seeking an understanding and safe environment to develop the insight and tools to discover the best version of yourself, consider getting in contact with me. I look forward to working with you!

Clinical Social Work/Therapist
St. Clair Shores, MI

Hello and welcome! My name is Elizabeth Falzon and I am a fully licensed therapist and the owner of Apricity Therapy Services in St. Clair Shores. A little bit about myself, I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University in 2017 with my undergraduate degree in Social Work. In 2018 I graduated from Michigan State University with my masters in Social Work. I love my job and I love working with my clients. I particularly enjoy working with college age people. I have a lot of experience working with people diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. Personally, I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was in 5th grade, which I feel gives me a unique perspective when working with this population. I'm trained multiple therapy interventions including DBT and PE. DBT stands for Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and was a therapy originally designed to treat Borderline Personality Disorder, but has since been shown to be effective with many other diagnoses. PE stands for Prolonged Exposure Therapy. This is a therapy used to treat PTSD. I am also a trauma informed therapist. If you are at all interested in meeting with me I would love to schedule a free 15 minute over-the-phone consultation to see if we would be a good match for each other. The best way to contact me is through email. I offer both telehealth services and in-person services in St. Clair Shores.

Are you trying to reach your goals, but feel like you're running in circles? We can help with improving your happiness, addressing a problem-area in your life, or whatever else you want to focus on. One-size-fits-all counseling doesn't work, so each client's action plans are based on what works best for them. We believe in a mind-body-spirit approach where we need to have Harmony between all three to feel truly fulfilled. Warmth and insight are the foundation of our sessions, especially as we understand we all need someone to be ourselves with. Life can be challenging at times, but we don't have to go through it alone. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or for more information!

It takes courage to start this process. I’m proud of you for being here and for recognizing that your mental health is a priority. I’m looking forward to learning more about you and helping you navigate the challenges that everyday life brings. I use a unique person-centered and strength- based approach to therapy, with acknowledging that you know yourself best! I aim to provide you with a comforting and safe space to express your hopes, fears, and worries, while establishing healthier thought patterns, coping skills and self-care techniques along the way. I will work alongside you to establish the best version of yourself. I joined GR Therapy Group after 7 years of working in the settings of long-term, palliative and hospice care. These experiences have shaped my expertise in working with individuals and families as they cope with life transitions. I have a limited license in Social Work and hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Michigan State University. My goal is for you to leave the office feeling welcomed, seen, heard, supported, and understood. If you're interested in setting up an initial visit, my contact information is located within my profile.

Accepting new clients! Hi There! My name is Olivia and I want to let you know I understand that life can be challenging much more than we can handle. However, by doing some therapy, your perspective may shift to your benefit and you’d be closer to meeting your goals. If things are little more complicated, we may need a little more than just few sessions. Whatever your need I am sure we can sort it out and discuss in more detail. I would love to hear from you! I am currently accepting patients virtually. I mainly use a client centered approach, allowing you to unpack your worries in the order you desire to release and share. I ask questions, as needed to progress towards the goals you desire to meet. Modalities I use include: Christian Counseling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy. Aside from being a therapist, I'm also a mother to three wonderful children and have been married since 2010. I have had my own trials and tribulations and I understand what it's like to be on the other side of the therapeutic process. My own journey has allowed me to better connect and understand humans on a deeper level.

What traits must your future counselor possess? Should they make you feel heard and validated? Give you tools to succeed? If you said yes, I’m here to help! Life often throws a wrench in our plans, especially when it comes to our relationships, employment, health, finances, and the list goes on. And that’s on top of a global pandemic! It’s no wonder why depression, anxiety, and substance use are more prevalent than ever. As a cancer survivor, I understand how quickly it can feel like the walls are closing in. However, I’ve also learned ways to break free. It’s a primary reason I became a therapist: so I can help others do the same. My specialties including CBT and DBT, which focus on changing thinking and behaviors. This is achieved by building custom action plans for each of my clients. No cookie-cutter plans here! Popular areas to focus on include depression & anxiety, relationships, negative thinking, grieving, and chronic illness. We'll work on whatever is important to you. Making life-changes can be intimidating, but you won’t be going through this alone. I’ll give you hope and support, while simultaneously helping take some of life’s weight off your shoulders. I recognize committing to a full session can be daunting, which is why I offer free 15-minute phone or video consultations. Let's chat - send me a message today!

Clients who recognize their areas of struggle; depression, anxiety, relationship challenges or adjusting to a new experience or situation. My clients are looking for someone to be understanding and supportive but also someone who is able to push you to try new tools and practice the skills we talk about in our sessions together. My clients are open minded and willing to think outside the box.

Welcome to New Beginnings Therapy and Consulting Services, PLLC. My ideal client is someone Who is committed to self-improvement and one who is invested in themselves. I work from a holistic perspective. I believe that we are three-part beings (body, mind and spirit) and each of these domains are impacted by the other and may be perpetuated by physical, social and environmental/cultural factors, rather than mental factors alone. When you choose me as your therapist you will receive supportive, empathetic, empowering and collaborative care.

I believe that you are the master of your own life, and I believe that therapy is a joint process that we can navigate together. I am not here to judge you or tell you how you should be living. I am here to help you develop the tools and understanding needed to create the life you want and meet your long and short term goals. I have a focus centered around the LGBTQ+ community, but also specialize in working with women's issues, anxiety disorders, depression, and grief. I have worked in crisis intervention and have experience with treating substance use disorders. I utilize a mix of Cognative Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and person centered modalities to help adults who are looking for a change in their life, looking to better understand how to cope, or looking to go through their process of healing and/or recovery. I am not just a counselor, but also a peer. I am part of the LGBTQ+ community, and have struggled with an anxiety disorder and bouts of depressive symptoms throughout my life. I hope that my experiences can better help me to understand yours and allow me to be a positive asset to you in your journey to grow and heal.
