I support people with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and ADHD. I tailor my approach to your unique needs by drawing on a variety of therapeutic techniques. My past clients have described me as compassionate, grounding, and calming. It is my hope that you find a therapist who feels like a good fit too. If you feel ready for change, please reach out. I’d love to talk more about what you're looking for in therapy.
Have you ever felt like you're either "too much" or "not enough"? This could be a general struggle, or it could be related to a specific trait (i.e. too Asian/not Asian enough or too Queer/not Queer enough). Perhaps you struggle to belong and don't feel like you quite fit anywhere. Or maybe factors such as perfectionism, self-doubt, overthinking, or comparison to others are creating problems. All of these issues are quite common, but can also be extremely nuanced. I understand and I can help. Let's explore your unique identity, coming to a better understanding of who you are. I'd like to help you unconditionally embrace and accept yourself. We can build a therapeutic relationship that supports you in meeting your goals. I hope to accompany you in your growth and healing as you laugh, cry, learn, explore, set goals, and gain skills along the way. Finding a new therapist can be an overwhelming process. I'd really like to support you in finding the right fit, so I offer a free initial phone consultation. I am open to working with all adults, but particularly enjoy helping those in the Asian and LGBTQ+ communities. Reach out to set up a time to chat; I'm here to help.
Have you been longing for a more fulfilling, meaningful life? If you are feeling paralyzed or trapped by worry or sadness, you may benefit from an in-depth psychotherapy approach that allows you to break old patterns and grow into a deeper understanding of yourself. I offer online (video-based) therapy to treat trauma, grief/loss, anxiety, and depression. I use CBT and Mindfulness based techniques in my work, but the foundation of my therapeutic approach is from an Existential Therapy perspective, which allows us to slow down and look closely at your current experience so that together we can shape the future you want to have. I feel honored to be a part of helping people grow, fulfill their potential, and thrive in areas that correspond to their values. I have lived in several countries and speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Both as a therapist and professor, I have served individuals of many cultures as well as marginalized populations which informs my practice & worldview. If you are invested in personal growth toward a life of purpose, I invite you to contact me or visit my website to learn more about how you can find healing & meaning in your life. Hi, I'm Allison! I work with folks who are curious about ADHD or other forms of neurodivergence that don’t fit the “typical” profile. Many of my clients also feel anxious, burned out, or emotionally overwhelmed and want clarity, self-understanding, and tools to work with their brain in a way that feels supportive and allows for more ease in daily life. I specialize in ADHD therapy and assessment, anxiety, and neurodivergent-affirming care, with particular attention to presentations in female identifying, AFAB, and gender-diverse clients. I use a holistic approach that integrates IFS, DBT, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation to support self-compassion, emotional regulation, and practical daily skills. If you’re seeking clarity, relief, or a better understanding of yourself and your mind, I honor how complex that process can be—especially when things haven’t always made sense before. I offer a collaborative, affirming space where we move at your pace and focus on care that supports insight, practical change, and your whole self.

I work with folks who want to connect with their emotional worlds and nurture relationships both with themselves and others. As a cis-gender male, I have often had the thought that it seems like everyone else got the guide-book to relationships except me. I, like many of you, am someone who was raised as in a context that did not prize or promote emotional self-inquiry, self-connection and direct communication. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, anger, shame or dissatisfaction with your life, there is space for you here. I practice mindfulness-based therapy, which means that in our work together I may invite you to pause or slow down so that we can bring curiosity to your inner world. Your experience is important and, if we work together, I commit to walking along side you in what is an act of courage not acknowledged enough: reconnecting with and honoring ourselves. Perhaps you are longing for a more satisfying way of existing in this world. Not to fret, this has been the case for many of us and the path back home to an aligned state of being has been tread by many before you. I have helped many like you and would be delighted to explore working together.

PostScript Therapy offers LGBQ and transgender affirmative counseling for individuals, families, couples and relationships, through the process of narrative therapy and attachment theory. I am committed to equity in relationships, as I believe equitable relationships are essential to establishing and maintaining healthy and valued relationships. I believe in fostering a shared sense of community, responsibility, and social consciousness with the goal of valuing relationships and empowering individuals and families. In order to foster such a community and create a space of healing and increased awareness, it is vital to recognize how our experiences and perspectives are shaped by the interactions of our family legacies, intimate relationships, social climate, societal expectations and different aspects of our identities including, but not limited to our race, gender, nationality, age, sexual orientation, religion, body type, relationship orientation, ability, and socio-economic status. In addition to my work with transgender youth, adults and families, I am body and fat positive, polyam and kink friendly, and specialize in working with queer, transgender/non-binary, and LGB individuals, relationships, and families. Using narrative therapy and attachment theory, I facilitate and create space for exploration of my clients' stories and examining strategies for maintaining connection learned in childhood that may impacting growth and connection in current relationships such as with work, family, , friends, and intimate relationships. I also incorporate solution-focused, experiential, and intergenerational therapy interventions to build on strengths, establish attainable goals, and uncover family patterns of interactions that may be influencing current distress.

I specialize in helping young adults who are detransitioning or desisting, or otherwise struggling with the current culture of identity politics and groupthink on college campuses. If you value nuance over black-and-white thinking, and would rather see yourself as a strong, resilient person than a perpetual victim of forces outside your control, we might be a match. I respect patients of diverse cultural, religious, and political backgrounds, as well as sexual orientations. Use the link below to book a free discovery call.
Hello, and welcome! I am glad you’re here. My name is Madz (she/they). I am a white, able bodied, queer person. I truly believe there is bravery in slowing down with someone else and beginning to consider that your pain could use another heart to hold it. In our work together, I hope to help empower you to build a curious and understanding relationship with the distressed, normal, and brilliant parts of you that have been managing your suffering within the context of relationship challenges, family of origin difficulties, systemic injustice, and isms. Equally as important, I hope to support you in connecting with and caring for your younger self that might still be holding the burdens of past trauma. I deeply value working to offer folks a new relationship in therapy. One where collaborative planning with your nervous system will help to support us in centering a reparative experience. My approach is warm, compassionate, and curious. As someone who has struggled with knowing where myself and another ends and begins, I prioritize highlighting all that you already know about yourself and will support you in noticing and listening to your own voice. I draw from Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused, Psychodynamic, Polyvagal, Intercultural Counseling, and Somatic Interventions. I have historically worked with trauma survivors, LGBTQ/Queer identified folks, folks with challenging family of origin relationships, and relationship issues.
I believe that darkness is an opportunity to find our own true light. Pain is a guide that leads us to be fully present with our experiences and unearth their true meaning and wisdom. We all have the ability to find and know our truth. We hold our own healing and answers deep within ourselves. My role is to provide a nurturing, respectful environment where I stay connected and present with you in this discovery process. Although this may be challenging and uncomfortable at times, it will lead you to more self-appreciation and self-love in your healing journey. I use an eclectic and integrative approach unique to you which includes Client-Centered, Attachment Theory, Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Hakomi. I do not take this work lightly and am deeply humbled and privileged to walk with you through your individual healing journey. I have a deep appreciation for the human experience and I value diversity. I work with people of all races, spiritual faiths, and LGBTQ community. Together, we will honor all of your experiences and find meaning for your past to propel you into a more compelling future.
